how do you read the gauge. Is 100 fully charged or is it empty? The gauge reads the amps that the charger is putting out. So 100 would mean the battery is dead and 0 means it's fully charged.

charger.  so if the battery shows 2.5 amp on the amp meter, it's showing 100% charged.  but yet they say it should go to zero on the amp meter, which would mean about 150% charged. 

both pole clamps came off and need to know which side of cable is pos/neg. One side of cable is marked with white stripe. put a vom on the leads.Read the voltage. a - will show if backwards

...should give you a reading, depending on the state of the battery. To do a quick test on the charger, try it across a headlamp bulb, The bulb should light and the amp meter should read about 5

missing battery leads witch wire is the positive yhe wire with the white stripe or the black one use meter it will give u a negative reading if your leads are backwards
