387780 does not seem to be a valid model number.

My kenmore 80 series top loader is leaking from a 1/4 hole in front of the motor. Did something break off? Is this common and my washer is a goner?

The drain pump needs to be replaced. Here is the part to order.
There is a video on that same parts page to show you how to replace it.

some model units do not come with a softner dispenser, ask sales rep at sears it might have been an upgrade model in the 90 series that had that dispenser??
