Hi
If a password is requested during boot, it means a password has been set in BIOS. This means you need to enter the password in order to enter the BIOS and change any settings there.
If you do not know, or have forgotten the password, disconnect the pc from the electricity, open the side panel, find the small, flat silver battery on the motherboard and carefully remove it, using a screwdriver to safely click the clip holding it down.
After, 2 miunutes, replace the battery, making sure it clicks down in exactly the same position as before.
Use this opportunity to clean out any dust and dirt that may have accumulated inside the PC, then close it and reconnect the power cable.
When you restart the PC, you should find that the BIOS has been reset to factory default settings and the password is no longer required. You might also have to re-enter the time and date, one time only, to reset the PC's clock/calendar.
If you enter another password, make a separatexe note of the password by e-mailing it to yourself and/or saving it in your cellphone.
Hope this helps.
