My $350 Echo PB-500T seized up. I almost cried.

The solution was to drain the fuel tank.

  • Refill fuel tank with an 2-cycle Oli/gas mixture.

  • 40:1 =3.2 oz to one-gallon gas, do not use Alcohol base gas.

  • Remove the spark plug.

  • Pour approximate 1/8 oz 2-cycle Oli into the spark plug hole.

  • Remove the pull cord assembly (4-bolts)

  • This reviled the crank shaft-Pull cord bracket

  • I use a large monkey wrench to turn the shaft (CW) Clock-wise.

  • Complete approximate 20 revolutions.

  • Reassemble, but don't install the spark plug yet.

  • Complete approximate 20 more revolutions

    by pulling the pull cord.

  • Use q-tips to swab the top of the piston, as much as possible.

  • Install the spark-plug and crank, it will smoke for amount 7-10 minutes

SOURCE: Proper gasoline and oil mix ratio.

My echo uses 50-1 ration. Home Depot sells the small containers for Echo Leaf Blowers that you mix with one gallon of gas.

SOURCE: I have a Echo PB 2601 made a loud bang then stoped working.

Sounds like it has seized up. If the pull cord won't pull then the motor is locked up. Did you run gas/oil mix for the fuel its a 2 cycle motor...

SOURCE: Need the air gap between

All magnetos work best with minimal air gap. Gap it with the thinnest piece of paper/plastic that you can remove from the gap. Spin it, examine flywheel for evidence of rubbing. If it's good, start it and zoom it a couple of times, shut it down and check again.

I have a echo PB 500T backpack blower I can get it to run great for 20 to 30 minutes but then it bogs down and quits it won't restart unless I pour gas into the cylinder runs a while and boys down

Could be fuel tank not venting properly. Run until the symptoms repeat then loosen fuel cap. If it starts and runs ok then likely the vent (cap?) Is plugged.

Otherwise it's likely a crankcase leak.

I have a echo pb 500t blower I just replaced the carburator but it is not getting the fuel to the cylinder I can spray fuel in and it runs any ideas what to try?

Press the primer bulb several times. If no fuel in bulb, identify the fuel line that connects to fuel filter inside of the tank. Verify filter is connected and no cracks in line.

Then disconnect the other fuel line (fuel return) at the carb. Pump the primer several times. If still no fuel move the fuel line at the carb to the other port. Leave other line off (for now). Pump primer several times. If fuel pumps, fuel lines were connected wrong. Connect return line... start.

My Echo PB-250LN blower will not start.

Environmental wackos got alcohol mixed with gas. Alcohol causes rubber diaphragm to swell and not pump fuel properly. Buy new carb on eBay and run out of gas or put syabil in tank when not used

Hello I have an echo pb-500T, my cord won't pull.

Remove the impeller and check for loose motor mount screws. With the impeller off and the spark plug removed and the pull start functioning properly; if it still wont pull then its likely internal and due to be replaced.

I have an Echo PB-500T blower that won't throttle up. I bought this blower new about 3 months ago. Before this blower I had an exact same blower that gave me the same problem. I returned that blower...

Remove the in tank fuel filter and take it apart, the felt Echo uses on the filter clogs quickly. There is still a mesh screen filter in the assembly so make sure you put it all back together and reinstall the fuel filter into the tank.

My echo backpack leaf blower pull start seems stuck it wont crank

Without getting to involved with it, did you always mix the correct fuel/oil ratio? or has someone else possibly put straight gas in it without oil? Another possibility is that the recoil could be broke. I would try to determine if the piston is seized in the cylinder. First remove the spark plug and try to pull the starter rope while listening closely for any strange noises from the engine. If it pulls fine then, replace the spark plug and try to start it again. If that doesn't work then I would remove the back cover and remove the muffler so you can look at the cylinder. You will need a phillips screwdriver and a set of metric allen wrenches. Hope that helps.

My Echo Blower Model: PB 755 T was working fine I stopped it to put more gas and now it won't start,

spray carb clean in the carb, just a shot with throttle all the way open then try starting, If it fires then you have a fuel problem, like maybe the filter in tank dirty or dirt made it to carb or needle valve is stuck in carb.

Runs fine &then suddenly stops

IN the tank there is a intake tube on the bottem of that tube is a tiny filter. you can reach in and pull it out the tank enough to work on it.
It is clogged pull it off let it dry for a day and then blow it clean fron the gas line side OUT.
