If it won't read any disc you put in, consider getting a new DVD player, the eye is most likely gone bad. If it is only one disc that you can't read i would suggest a Scotch DVD Cleaner kit. Cleans and Repairs discs, helps prevent skipping and mistracking, and repairs minor surface scratches improving disc audio and image quality.

How to fix the "No disc" message and let the player play your disc successfully? You can try these: 1. Before you try anything to examine or fix your DVD player, it's suggested that you make sure the disc you are trying to play is intact and well. 2. If you are sure that there is something wrong with your player, you can press the "Eject" or "Open" button on the DVD player to disc tray to determine if it opens easily and does not appear jammed or hindered. If the disc tray appears to open slower than usual or fails to open, the disc may not sit flush in the tray or otherwise be seated properly. 3. Most of the DVD "No disc" problems are caused by the glitch of DVD laser lens.

DVD-Player not reading discs.

Well if it happens to every disc, then you know its the discs that are the problem. It should be the DVD player. Check if you plugged in the yellow, white, and red plugs accordingly. And also try blowing inside the DVD player, to blow away any dust that might be fogging the disc from beiing read.

Hitachi dvd player not reading all dvds

Hello, I'm here try and help your problem, first older DVD players only read certain disc formats, If you have your owners manuel to your DVD player it will tell you what types of discs the DVD player will play. There are seneral types of burnable disc's DVD -, DVD +, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, please looking in the owners manual for the types of discs that the player will read, also in the same secton it will tell the types of formats that it will read DVD Video, DVD ROM, and there is a few others, Next is when you burn DVD's the type of burner you have makes a difference. You will need to find out what format your DVD burn, burns to disc, some of the newer DVD players
read alot of the formats. I would start by finding out what your DVD burns first, then I would suggest buying a DVD player that will read that format. If you have anyother questions please feel free to post them, Thank You and have a great day.
