Hello Gopi Krishna,

Rather than enumerate the MANY MANY possibilities...
as simple as an ice BLOCKAGE ... or a DOOR switch...

Better ideas are also available on the following
PARTS-HOUSE assistance page...

Just keep in mind they would love
to sell lots of parts...

My first suggestion... would be to check your door closures... make sure your switches light and dark as you open & close the door...

Look through your freezer vents for a SOLID frost = trouble.
(not necessarily a bad thing... Fix = easy...
OPEN doors... power off: 3 days)

((watch-out for defrost over-flow))

SOURCE: samsung fridge RS2630SH, side by side, icing up on freezer.

You have to pull out the sensor from the board and test with tester, both sensor should read the resistance of 10,000 to 20,000 ohms. The reading that you show is very low it means that the thermistor is out of range and need replacement.

My RS2630SH frige side does not cool, but freezer side is ok with more-than-normal frost. Call Samsung, they say to unplug for an hour to reset unit. Have not try it yet, but worth a try, since it is over the warrenty period.

SOURCE: loud noise from the freezer side

The problem is a buildup of ice on the plastic housing (the curved plastic bit) in the back of the freezer under the fixed shelf where the icetub goes. The fan behind this plastic housing is hitting the ice when the defrost comes on.

Unplug the fridge, unpack the freezer, remove the four screws in the back, take off the sheetmetal backing and let the fridge thaw. You can remove the plastic piece after a while and get the ice off (be careful not to remove the styrofoam insulation by going too quickly).

Reassemble and you're back in business, for a few months. I'm never buying Samsung again myself.

I have Samsung side-byside fridge RS2630SH problem with fridge not cooling properly 13c/55f, however the freezer looks to be working -16c/3f.

it seems that you have something in the freezer blocking the air from coming to the fridge, it can also be cover by an item from the fridge.

Samsung side by side fride

The first thing I would check is that the condenser grill under your unit is clean and the air flow is not blocked (also that the lower fan is blowing air across the coils. Even if that is not the total cause it will help your unit operate more effeciently. The condenser grill is under your unit accessed by taking off the front kick panel and also through the rear.
The second thing I would check is for ice build up around the evaporator coil (located in the back of the freezer section). If there is ice build up then you probably have a defrost system failure. This circuit is made up of the defrost heater, defrost thermostat (both located in the freezer section close to the evaporator coil) and the defrost timer which is located in the fresh food side (or if newer frig, part of the control board)

I have just bought a samsung fridge when I put it on, the sides of the fridge become slightly hot. any trouble?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly. The evaporator lines pass though the cabinet and the heat generated from the cooling process is transmitted to the cabinet. Usually you would also not this same warm to the touch around the door of the unit. Years ago they used to use heating elements to keep condensation from forming around the doors when the door was opened. To make the units more energy efficient they now run the copper tubing around the doors to use to the heat from the refrigeration process to prevent condensation. Unless it is hot.... as in really hot to the touch I would not be concerned. If by chance you are not geting the normal operating temps and the unit is hotter than you thnk it should be then take a look at the condensor fan area and make sure the fan is running and that the condensor cooling tubing is free of lint and debris. (remove fiber board cover in back of the unit to check)

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Kelly

I just got back from a 6 month trip and the samsung fridge I have seems to be taking a while to cool. RS2630SH. The fan on the condenser is working fine. Any thoughts?

Before you went for the holidays if the cooling was fine and now you are experiencing this fault, there is a possibility that your compressor has a problem maybe with the pressure valves or the absence of gas/ gas pressure. If even after running for a couple of days the fridge is not retaining the earleir cooling, shut it off for another 8 hours and try again. If this does not help, you will need to check your compressor for pumping and also the pressure of the gas. Hope you try this out. Good day
