The water line vibrates and makes noise when using it. It sounds like there's air in the line.

It sounds like water hammer, if the noise is in other faucets it is. There should be some air cushions in the water lines (air columns), they need to be drained, they behave like shock absorbers eliminating the chatter as water goes through the valve. This will definitely reduce the flow a little.

Install air vent.

Hi,Whynter Portable Air Conditioner has many moving parts, and they all make noise and cause vibrations. Some of these parts are more likely to causing shaking and loud noises, and sometimes this signals a larger problem, something to watch and scrutinize. If serious enough, it calls for a repair.

Loose Parts

Loose parts cause the majority of shaking and vibration noises in your air conditioner. A few of the most common loose parts include the air compressor, the piston rods and even the fan or blower unit itself. These noises are clunking, clanking sounds that occur along with a vibrating action. The only method of repair is a complete compressor replacement, which is a repair only a certified air conditioner technician is qualified to make. The compressor is a fully sealed component, so individual parts in the compressor cannot be repaired.

Fan Blades

Fan blades cause noise, shaking and vibrations even when properly secured. If fan blades contact the exterior structure of the air conditioner due to a bent fan blade or broken and misaligned grate, a constant, repetitive noise and vibration results, which sounds like a ticking or banging from the interior of the air conditioner. Vibration in this case is limited but still present.

Mounting Brackets

When an air conditioner shakes, there is a problem with the mounting brackets. These brackets hold the air conditioner compressor steady as it operates. Normal vibrations and shaking would otherwise occur without these brackets. A loose mounting bracket causes the air conditioner to rock back and forth and creates a clanking sound. As the compressor starts up, this rocking and clanking sound begins, resulting in a very loud and fast vibration and noise. It also occurs when the unit shuts down.

Other Sounds and Vibrations

Sometimes air conditioners squeal, hiss, hum or screech. Each noise is often accompanied by a vibration. Humming sounds along with a vibration may indicate a bad capacitor, the electrical part responsible for starting the machine. Hissing sounds tend to indicate a pressure problem while screeching and squealing sounds are fairly common in window air conditioners and in central air conditioners. This sound is also a result of the compressor motor. It usually starts when the unit turns on and continues through its normal operating cycle. Vibrations always occur in the air conditioner due to moving parts and the compressor motor's operation.

Noise in pipe means vibration.
Pipes vibrate when water turns corner, or if there is a clog somewhere in the line, or if there is air in the line.
Water heaters make noise when sediment builds up inside of tank.
I would probably try to track location of noise, and then put that spot on top of suspect list. For example if sink has shut-off, and noise seems loudest there.

Sounds like your water has been off for maintenance. This will make a sound like this but the rest of the faucets would have done it also when you first ran water through them the first time. So if you have a filter on your fridge, remove it and re prime before putting back on. If not, look at the back, bottom where the water supply connects to the back. Have some one try to get water in the door while you hold your hand on the valve where the water supply connects. See if it vibrates and makes the noise. Also follow the line and see if you have two different water valves. If so do the same with it. One should be making the noise if your filter does not have air in it. Good luck.

Sounds like there is something loose in the line.Like cut off valve,check valve.

these vibration in water pipes or cooper lines come from air in thewater supply system..dont take your appliances apart...

The vibrating sound you hear could be due to "water hammer" when the fill valve tries to close against high water line pressure. I had that problem and solved it by putting a small valve in the line to the ice maker and closing it little by little until the vibrating went away. You know, the banging could also be water hammer. It only happens at night when the entire neighborhood is asleep and the water pressure is at its highest. You need to check this out because water hammer can be very destructive to the plumbing and the valve.

Is it installed in a window? Check to make sure it is installed correctly. usually there is a felt or foam strip that is used to dampen vibration when you place it in the window. It also acts as seal to keep outside air and bugs out. If you place your hand at various locations on the unit does the sound go away? If it does then you know it is a vibration problem. Just add new foam or re-adjust the foam or gasketing it already has. If that doesn't work then try to locate the source of the noise. Use a mechanics stethoscope or even a cardboard tube from paper towels will work. Once you have located the source then you can tell the store what the problem is when you take it back and get a new one. Cheap air conditioners are noisy. Some more than others, it's why they are cheap. But your problem does sound like it could be a product issue.
