You have two choices:

  1. Lower the resolution of the Youtube video so that less bandwidth is used to download it
  2. Play the video and then immediately click pause until the red bar has completed and then play the video
Quite simply, your computer doesn't have a fast enough connection to play the video, you must let it stream enough video in order for you to play it.

Try other free video player programs to see if they can play Youtube videos. It would be better if you can reconize the format of the video and find a compatible player for it. you could try Leawo Blu-ray Player, which could support a lot of formats including AVI and it's a region-free and 4K player.

Choppy internet connection

If you are a frequent viewer of Internet-based video, then you know how frustrating it can be when streaming video doesn't play correctly. When a video is described as being "choppy," it can mean several things, including out-of-sync audio, stuttering frame rate and/or inconsistent stream speeds. However, although this term can mean several things, there are several ways to address all of these issues at once and help make your video viewing experience a bit smoother. Empty your Internet browser's cache and temporary files. Click the "Tools" menu and then select "Clear Private Data Now" (in Firefox) or "Delete Browser history" (in Internet Explorer). When you browse the Internet, your browser collects information from the websites you visit and carries this information as temporary and cache files. Too many of these files can bog down your computer, so delete them. Disable hardware acceleration. Open your computer's "Control Panel" and then click "Display." Select the "Settings" tab, click on "Advanced" and then click "Troubleshoot." Drag the hardware acceleration slider all the way to the left. This procedure can help reduce the strain on your processor, which can lead to choppy videos. Add virtual memory. If you are using Windows Vista or 7, you can add extra RAM to your computer by plugging a USB mass storage device into the computer. The operating system will automatically convert the unused space into RAM. Run your disk defragmenting utility. Click "Start" and then select "Programs." Click "System Tools" and then "Disk Defragmenter." This utility will eliminate the fragmenting of files, which could be taxing your processor. Videos wont play properly

Reset your Internet connection.

To do this, unplug both your Internet modem and any wired or wireless router you have connected to it.

Leave the devices disconnected for around 30 seconds before plugging them back in.

This will reset your Internet connection and correct any video hiccups that were a result of a problem with either device.

Allow a streaming video to load completely before watching it.

If you're watching a video over the Internet on a site such as YouTube or Break.com, hit "Pause" once the video begins to load.

Wait until the "Status" indicator bar fills up completely before attempting to play the video. This will delay the video from playing until all of it is available on your computer, which will fix any intermittent stops and starts you may be experiencing.

Close any programs that are consuming your computer's system resources.

Right-click on your computer's task bar and select "Start Task Manager."

Click on "Processes" and close any program that is taking up a large amount of your computer's memory.

You might think about adding more ram

If you're not sure if a module is right for your system, use the

Crucial Memory Advisor tool for a list of guaranteed compatible modules.

first you will need to select the manufacturer from a drop down list then select your product line from a drop down list then select the model then click find it will take you directly to compatible ram also you will have an option to scan your system

you should always ask for a guarantee on the compatibility before making any purchase and try to buy for working pairs if possible

Memory is an integral component of your computer's ability to properly play a video file, and the more memory your web browser (for online videos) or your media-playing software (for videos on your computer's hard drive) has, the better.

Try using a different program to play your movie file.

If you're playing a file from the Internet, try using a different web browser and see if that affects the video's quality.

If you're playing a video off of your computer's hard drive, try using a different media player to see if that fixes the intermittent stops and starts

hope this helps

Everytime I play video clips on YouTube I keep having buffering problems like play then stop then play then stop then play then stop continuously.

Once the page has loaded and the video is starting to play, pause the video and let it load completely before playing. The problem is either youtube and some specific videos and/or you have a slow connection and are having difficulties with streaming content.

When I try to download a video it constantly stops and loads and will not play all the way threw. It keeps pausing and playing on and off throughout the whole video. Why is it doing this?

I believe you are playing streaming video. if this the case, it would depend on your actual connection speed. when it pauses, it means, it is downloading portion of the video, then it resumes to play the downloaded part. Once it has been played, it will need to pause to download again. If your connection is not as fast as what is required by the streaming video, a trick would be to open the streaming video and when it tries to start, press the PAUSE button. Allow the progress bar to go till the end of the video (same like letting it download completely), then it will play fully when you hit PLAY.

Why does youtube stop playing and then starts again while a circular motion appears in the middle of the screen?

It is very simple youtube uses a streaming system based in flash, this means that the youtube player calls a file of an indetermined size stored in a server, did you ever noticed that in the playing bar below the video there is a red bar that fills the bar progresively this is the bar that shows the amount of video downoading of the file in the server, when the size of the file is to high it takes more time for the video player to download it, what happens is that the playing time is shorter than the download time so the player reaches the amount of video played faster than the video downloaded and it stops until the download progress a littlle bit more to continue playing the video, so if the video has a smaller file size the less the player stops, but small size videos could mean a down of quality in the image of the video depending also in the length of the video and in your internet connection speed.

Good luck

My online videos skip

Try downloading the videos. Streaming videos (like youtube, metacafe, megavideos, etc. ) can be downloaded. Use Ant Video Downloader in getting the videos off your browser. A free but great tool that works with any streaming sites there is on the web. You don't need to download flv player or codecs to play the video. Ant has its own Player, so as soon as it finished downloading the vids click the Player Button to play them and it will surely not skip.

FLASH VIDEO PLAYER STOPS AND STARTS WON'T RUN CONTINUOUSLY

Increase the buffer size. Your PC is playing the video faster than your internet connection can stream it to you. Let the PC load the video for a minute or 2 before you start viewing it. (Not all websites load video until you begin playing it, so this may not work)

Flashplayer stops and starts on gateway

How fast is your Internet connection?

Often, a "slow" connection cannot download fast-enough to support "streaming" from an online source.

Start playing the video, and press "pause", and wait one or two minutes. Then, press "play", and you should get a "smooth" playback.

How to play audio clip in java

  • Create an AudioClip object
  • Load .au sound file into AudioClip
  • Play sounds once or loop continuously
  • Stop playback

Here's how the code for these steps looks:
import java.applet.*;
AudioClip ac = getAudioClip(getCodeBase(), soundFile);
ac.play(); //play once
ac.stop(); //stop playing
ac.loop(); //play continuously

It would seem logical to use this same code to play audio clips in a Java application. Unfortunately, if you do that you will get errors from the compiler. Why? Because the AudioClip object and the getAudioClip() method are part of the java.applet package -- and are not part of applications. The good news is we can dive down and make things work ourselves.
The trick to solving this problem is to use some undocumented features that are provided by Sun in its JDK. Taking a peek inside the classes.zip file from the Sun JDK (using any of the various zipfile utilities), we find not only the standard Java packages such as java.applet but also sun.audio. (These are in the directory sun/audio.)
The sun.audio package contains everything we need to be able to play audio clips! Here's the code:
import sun.audio.*; //import the sun.audio package
import java.io.*;
//** add this into your application code as appropriate
// Open an input stream to the audio file.
InputStream in = new FileInputStream(Filename);
// Create an AudioStream object from the input stream.
AudioStream as = new AudioStream(in);
// Use the static class member "player" from class AudioPlayer to play
// clip.
AudioPlayer.player.start(as);
// Similarly, to stop the audio.
AudioPlayer.player.stop(as);

To use a URL as the audio stream source, substitute the following for the input stream and audio stream setup:
AudioStream as = new AudioStream (url.openStream());

Playing the audio stream continuously adds a bit more complexity:
// Create audio stream as discussed previously.
// Create AudioData source.
AudioData data = as.getData();
// Create ContinuousAudioDataStream.
ContinuousAudioDataStream cas = new ContinuousAudioDataStream (data);
// Play audio.
AudioPlayer.player.play (cas);
// Similarly, to stop the audio.
AudioPlayer.player.stop (cas);
