F248 is communication problem ,it some times happens when the printer cannot understand the data coming from the computer from certain program's or a specific file .reset the printer clear any print jobs on the pc and try print a test page if you're still getting that error you will need to get a service engineer to upgrade to the latest firmwarec
F248 is corrupted Data, unplug the network cable, delete your jobs from the que of your pc, Turn the machine on and it should work fine. There is new firmware for the machines to avoid this issue.
But if you get F 247 or 248 even if you unplug the network cable and after rebooting the machine, this means you have harddrive issue. formatting it might fix it temp but wat i experinced is you have to change the harddrive.

In my case, selecting the option "print as image" (pdf file, Foxit reader) solved the problem.
Everything mentioned up is true, the latest solutions from kyocera is :
update firmware
update print driver.
sometimes by clearing the jobs it does work but when you print from online it might throw this error.
if the error cannot be cleared by deleting the old jobs in the que, you need to replace the hard drive.
it depends what model you have but kyocera had some harddrive issue with the 3500i and 3500ci series.

Firmware is a must and also latest driver 6.2 , release notes include that code/ ........
Its a communication problem between your PC or laptop, check your usb cable cos sometimes usb cables faulty, checked if your usb port on your PC or laptop disabled, finally just replaced the usb board from your printer, seek your nearest service representative.
