I have unwittingly frozen my new samsung S8500 phone by putting in the incorrect info in the unlock field, I have the correct unlock code but now cannot enter it because the phone is frozen and will no longer bring up the field to enter the unlock code. how can I resolve this issue

The phone Freeze problem. Your phone has gotten hard-locked; it will not accept any unlock codes. This problem can only be caused by improper unlocking. Basically this happens if you or someone else has already entered 5 wrong unlock codes on your phone.

OKAY, Ignore the posters saying that you need to buy a 'freeze code', the truth is you don't. If your phone has 'phone freeze. sim unavailiable' please enter in *2767*3655#. After you do so the phone will restart and will work with your sim inserted. I hope this solves your problem.
