Possibly frosted up at the air door between the fridge and freezer, or the fan in the freezer is not pushing cold air into the fridge side, if you can not hear a fan running in the freezer when the fridge is running (compressor on) then change out the fan

LG gn253sqa electro cool- temp. control lights in fridge keep flashing and fridge not cooling so good, help?

This has happened to me a couple of times. The problem is that when the fridge door is opened too may times the warm air of summer will block the cold outlets in the fridge with ice.The cold air comes direct from the freezer and the chamber connecting to the fridge clogs up with ice. What one has to do is completely empty the fridge and freezer, leave open both doors so the the ice build-up can melt. Then after about at least 4-5 hours (very important to stick by this time-frame as I tried a less time, but it did not work.),close both the freezer and fridge doors and switch it on.After about 1/2 hour replace your goods in the fridge. The down-side of this is that you will need the kindness of a neighbor or two to use their fridge to store your food whilst this fix is underway..

Kenmore 795 freezer on top. Freezer working, temp lights on in fridge, but fridge not cooling and lamp out as well.

If the freezer is located above the fridge, the air from the freezer drops into the fridge to create the cooling in the fridge. So what I would look for is a blocked vent from the freezer to the fridge, which is usually located on the top and or back of the fridge inside of cores. You can get a frost or ice build up in there and block the air flow to the fridge, that is usuall the problem. I would also heck the dial for temp control in the fridge, I know my kids have changed it before on me.

We have a kitchenaid side-by-side. It stopped cooling. We just received and embraco invrt box, and replaced it. The frig worked fine for 2 days (we checked temp) and it was good in frig and freezer. Then...

If the fridge was off and then worked (it defrosted) so it could be the defrost element, is not working. When that freezes up, it won't circulate the air to cool it.

American fridge/freezer - fridge stopped cooling, freezer side ok

Have you pulled out the refrigerator and cleaned or used a vacum cleaner to get out the dirt and dust off the back of the coils, or if the coils are underneath, you need to get an inexpensive appliance brush for fridge, and clean the coils under the fridge, pull off the panel on the front bottom of the fridge, get a flash light and look to see if the coils are covered in dust....may just need to vacum and use appliance brush underneath...this should be done at least one a year, you will notice your fridge running much better and cooling back to normal.......hope this helps......
