C610 Broken fixing heater wire
• Warm-up does not end within 90 s.
• The secondary stabilization fixing
temperature drops to 100°C/212°F or
below.
• The fixing temperature remains below
40°C/104°F for 7 s or longer after the
fixing heaters have been turned on.

Causes

  • Fixing heater installed incorrectly (Check and reinstall if necessary.)
  • Broken fixing heater wire. (Check for continuity. If none, replace fixing heater.)
  • Poor contact in the fixing unit thermistor connector terminals.(Check the connection of connector CN12 on the main PCB and the continuity across the connector terminals.Remedy or replace if necessary.)
  • Broken fixing unit thermistor wire.(Measure the resistance. If it is ∞ ?, replace
    the fixing unit thermistor.)
  • Fixing unit thermistor installed incorrectly.(Check and reinstall if necessary.)
  • Fixing unit thermostat triggered.(Check for continuity. If none, replace the
    fixing unit thermostat. Check the operation of the cooling fan and repair if necessary.)

Kyocera KM1530 photocopier. What does C610 mean? It is comin gup on the display when we turn our machine on.
C610 = Fusing Unit Heat failure. The fusing unit is the part that gets hot and "fuses" the toner onto the paper. The C610 code means that the fuser is not heating up as it should. The 2 most common causes are thermal fuse failure or thermister failure. The thermal fuse will keep the heater lamp from coming on while the thermister failure would cause the machine to not "see" the temperature rising as thus shut down the machine. Either way you will need a service company to come out and diagnose/repair the machine. You must also use the factory service mode to reset the fuser failure code.

Dell latitude c610 screen just shows pixles moving around display is gone, even when docked on screen. thought the lcd was bad but a monitor hooked shows the same thing. Is the moboard bad?
Yes if external video output shows same defects (pixelation problems or random color squares) this is most likely an internal Video adapter issue (usually part of the system board).

After you just turn on the laptop, if you can see the DELL logo, keep pressing F12 and see if there is an option for Diagnostics...if so, this will run a quick hardware and video test, usually resulting in error codes and cause of the issue. If you experience the display problem during the startup (POST) process as well, then definitely internal video issue.

Depending on age and popularity of your model, a new system board can cost from $150-600 plus labor to install it.

IT SHOWS ME THIS ERROR CODE C610 WHEN I SWITCH IT ON.
You have blown your thermal fuse, causing an open circuit.

You have to remove the fuser and remove the thermal fuse. It is very easy to get it, it looks like a round black stump with a shiny bottom with 2 space terminals at each end, the bracket should be white, you cant miss it.

remove the thermistor and throw it hard on the concrete outside, you will not break it, what you are looking for is to make it rattle again, once it rattles again, re-install.. and clear the error code..

To do this you will have to do the following;
Press 'stop/reset' then 'start' then left copy exposure button and hold them all down. This will enter simulation/tech mode.

Enter '163' you do this by pressing the + and - buttons (zoom buttons)

'CLE' should show up (Clear)

then press start.

Reboot the machine and you away again.

Dell Latitude C610 doesn't recognize hard drive
when you took out the old hard drive
there is a black hard drive connector
this would have holes to push on to the new hard drive
without this, it will not plug into the motherboard
be careful if one of the pins breaks the hard drive wont work
