I need to change the batteries and reset the pass code in (2) keyless locks ("Locknetics On Board"). The owner's manuals were never given, and the key (Schlage) override was never used.(No keys available) The doors are propped open, and I have access to the back plate and batteries. What is the reset procedure?

How can I program my electronic keypad lock when the instructions with the programming code have been lost?
The back plate of the keypad side of the lock on the exterior of the door has a sticker which includes the serial number, six digit programming code and two pre-programmed four digit user codes. The lock must be disassembled to a point the exterior of the lock can be pulled away from the door and the information on the sticker made note of.
This number is the programming code referenced in the information for changing the entry code.

This link will take you to the page that you need to get started:

http://consumer.schlage.com/Service-Support/Pages/InstructionandManuals.aspx

Then scroll down to this heading on that page:
Electronic Security-Keypad Entry Flex-lock FE595/Keypad Entry Auto-Lock FE575 Documents

There's a wealth of info under that heading. You will be able to see a PDF file of the original print instructions, as well as a video of how to install the lock. This installation video (third item down) will be useful to allow you to disassemble it and view the sticker. This is also a great time to change the 9-volt battery! Batteries should be replace about every three years.
The eighth item under that same header is a video which walks you through how to reprogram the keypad to your new code, using that programming code that you found on the backside of the keypad.
A note about the PDF files: If you cannot view a given file, you need to first install Adobe reader. You can get the free download from here:

http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Good luck--and please provide feedback if this helps!

How do I get a manual for YL88 electronic lock

Okay Guyz n' Galz...Finally I solved this by lot of iterations. I have YL-88, YL-68 and D77 Digital locks. They are all made by Yili from China with buttons placed circularly. Warning, to reset it might not work on button placed in square pattern (YL-99).

Default master code is 0123# all the locks mentioned above.
Now to reset the master code, press and hold the reset button(red) for 2-5 secs on the battery pack, and remove one battery. Release reset button. Give 5 to 10 secs. Then press and hold reset button first, put back the battery into it.
Now the lock is reset to factory default. i.e., 0123#.
Warning: Make sure the default works before you close the door and lock.

Now to apply new master code: Enter default 0123# and wait till the sound is gone and the light is still lit. Start your new code starting with '0' and end with * key (not the # key). It will beep twice. Your new master code is ready to use. Now if it does not beep twice. Try from the begining with default code.

Enjoy

Any four digit code works no matter how many times you reset code. how do you erase all codes and start fresh?

How do I change the access code (and delete my old code) on my Powerbolt 1000?

The steps below are to change your access code to a new code. This will also remove any previous codes stored in the Powerbolt's memory.

pb1000programbutton

  1. Manually put the bolt in the extended (lock) position. Press the PROGRAM button once, enter your new 4 - 8 digit code and then press the LOCK button.
  2. Press the PROGRAM button twice, enter the same new code and then press the LOCK button once.
  3. Press the PROGRAM button three times, enter the same new code and then press LOCK once.
If your old code still remains in the unit, you will need to perform a hard reset of the unit. To perform a hard reset of the unit, remove all four batteries and leave them out for 1 hour. After the hour has passed, you may re-enter the batteries.

I'd recommend replacing the batteries if you haven't done so yet.
Good luck--and please provide feedback if this helps!

Constant beeping

It sounds like the lock master reset might have been inadvertantly pushed when the coverplate was removed at some point. I would suggest you remove the batteries, reinstall them and reset the lockset and enter in new pass codes (you can use the same ones as before, if you wish).

I've attached the owner's manual, just in case you've misplaced yours, so you can reprogram the lockset and have the instructions for future use and reference.

http://www.smarthomeusa.com/Products/ED1460XXXX/manuals/WeiserLockPowerbolt1000-manual.pdf

Just so you know, Weiser and Kwikset were once the same company and offerred the same lock under both names, so don't worry about the manual having the Weiser brand name on it.

Hope you find this Very Helpful - Best regards!
