I can not switch on asus wl 600-g wireless adsl router.
When I turn on the power switch only 4 leds for ports 1-4 are blinking and there is no other led activated (power led is also off). It can not be restored to default state or anything else.
What is the problem and how can it be solved?
Thanks

You can reset all settings to their factory defaults manually by pushing the "Reset" button of the ASUS 802.11g AP while it is ON. Push the "Reset" button with a pen or a paper clip for about 5 seconds or until the power LED starts blinking.

1, connect your wireless router with cable to your laptop, 2. Login into your Asus-WL520gu and setup your wireless how you want it to run." do not bother with putting your username settings in there" 3. In your Asus-WL-520gu after setting up your wireless turn the DHCP off in it. 4. Now connect the cable that you have connected to your laptop to your router instead of your laptop. ""You should now be able to connect to the wireless with your settings. and connect anything ells you want to the other 4 ports on the back of you wireless router"" note: do not connect anything to the WAN port as it is used for DSL modems; and not Routers with ADSL modem. when connecting a router to a router - the one that is connecting you to the internet needs DHCP turned on because it is the one that will be giving you IPs and Gateway settings - the other router such as wireless router after setting it up needs its DHCP turned off - other wise you will have 2 routers trying to do the same thing with ip's and gateways. And you should never connect a modem router to the WAN port as it is a modem router and NOT just a DSL-modem. The WAN port is intended for DSL-modems only. Not only consumers but also many technicians make that mistake
Both routers need to be on the same IP scheme and subnet i.e. 192.168.0.X subnet 255.255.255.0. First, unplug the Asus router. Next, make sure you have connection to the internet by hooking directly to the Apple router. Once you've established a connection to the internet plug the Asus router into the Apple router but go LAN port to LAN port.
This will give you a "Double NAT" setup. Meaning, Your D-Link router is connected to the external internet address assigned to you by your internet service provider. More than likely this is a DHCP address you do not control. Your D-Link router is then translating the address to the 192.168.1.x network. This is the first NAT translation. You are then connecting the ASUS router to DLINK, causing a second NAT translation. (Internet ADSL --> D-Link WAN Port --> D-Link Lan Port --> ASUS WAN Port --> ASUS Lan Port to computer/server/etc. ) If both of your routers are giving out DHCP addresses, then this is all that is required.
it could be the modem and the router has the same ip address. the asus router has an ip of 192.168.1.1, check if the dynalink modem has an ip of 192.168.1.x. if so, change the router's ip to 192.168.x.x (e.g. 192.168.2.1) then see if you'll be able to connect to the internet while the modem is connected to the wan port of the router
Hello, Good question..Phone line to DSL modem, Ethernet cable to WAN port on Router. If connecting a PC wired to Router, connect Ethernet cable from 1 of 4 LAN ports on Back of router to ethernet port on PC. This would be Physical connection...
It's always smart to set a restore point in case something goes wrong during installation of any program. For wireless connection from laptop or PC: install router software on computer. Reboot computer. In browser address bar enter 192.168.1.1. This brings up a window for user name and password. Enter "admin" for both. This allows you to change many settings including Changing SSID(Router Name), User name and password. EnablingWEP or WPA security. Hope this Helps, Good Luck..!!
