Hi, i have a 1994 isuzu trooper 4wd, 3.2L. all of a sudden the AC stopped working. the little green light on the ac button doesn't go on when pushed, the clutch doesn't engage on the compressor and needless to say, no cold air. any ideas?
thanks and blessings,
Mike

If the AC works, it is probably just a little light bulb behind the button. You can either learn to live with it or find a spare part on eBay. Many times by ordering the new part you can see how to remove the old one. Don't simply try to pry it out, you may need to remove the panel first then pop out the old button from the back.
Hi Smash, I would like to know more about the bypass you are making? If it is directly to the compressor I suggest you check the AC relays. If it is anywhere else, make sure there is enough gas pressure. If the pressure is low there is a safety cut off valve which automatically cuts off power. Regards John
sounds like a sensor - when did it start - if just cranked up one day and bam it is there - sounds like either a brake wear indicator issue - if they are connected in those - or a fluid level change in the rear end or transfer case - look for leaks and check the brake pads or shoes
Just press the 4wd button on the dash at any speed up to about 40mph and press again to come out .
When you turn the key on and the oil and battery lights are on the little green 4wd light should be on too if its flashing or not on check your fuses in the drivers footwell.
it sound like you might have a incorrect/faulty relay in the bonnet i think it says charge on the fuse box cover , have you fiddled with any of the relays under the bonnet does the engine actually run when the lights come on ,anything leed up to thuis problem, ect ect , elaborate a little more
Just have your auto - locking hub cleaned and use your 4wd more often, it get stock usually for non usage. dont use grease after cleaning, use oil or thick silicone oil.
