The Kenmore 25ssa, model 106.52572202, built 2002-12 is not cooling anymore.Power is on the compressor. Compressor is warm, but not hot. Could it be the starter? How do I test? Regards Rob

JH, did you notice if the freezer back panel was full of frost first time it started thawing? If so you may have a defrost problem. I've had 4 of these control boards (jazz boards) fail on this model in the last week. Behind the front grill, there should be a tech sheet that will show you how to run the componet tests at the control board. Part number for the board is 12002339. This board controls compressor, defrost, damper and fans. Catriver.

if compressor is hot that means comp- is trying to start but the relay /overload is bad allow comp to cool down unplug from wall and replace with exact type 1/2hp 1/4hp 1/3hp etc make sure all wireing is correct and unplug before starting that model may or may not have a run or start capacitor replace it also..

It sounds like you have a stuck compressor or bad start capacitor.
