Check the fuse holder an the power holder on the inside of the amp an just to see check ur ground some time they lossen

  • trickheadd Dec 22, 2011

I'm having the same issue with this amp. I was using it for 2 months with no problems and now it comes on for a min sounds fine. then really bad feedback from the subs then it shuts off but the fan stays on. I replaced my ground to be sure and it didn't work. Can you be more specific about what to check? It is less than a year old hopefully MTX will take it back . I'm very disappointed with this cheaply made in china Amp. All plastic parts and by design it leaves all of the electronics inside vulnerable to dust and debris. I'm buying Rockford next time.Thank you

I have a sub zero refrigerator 532 series. The light and fan in the freezer stopped working.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Verify the unit is cooling properly. If the fan does not come on when the fan switch is pressed for several minutes, it may be faulty .
If the lights are out inside a refrigeration unit, see Refrigerator or Freezer Light Switch Information .Sub Zero Interior Lights Turned Off ' How to Guide (subzero-wolf.com)

Rockford Fosgate P3002 stopped working

push down and up on your subs and see if they make a starching noise, if they do then they are blown. take a test light to the amp, on the power and the remote and see if it lights up. if it does then turn the amp down and with a small speaker plug it in to the speaker outs on the amp and see if it plays if not then your amp is bad.

My mtx thunder 421d I just got has the red light staying on all the time, I have hooked up a rca converter and the amp wont play my sub, is that light supposed to be red all the time.

The LED should be red. If you are not getting power to the sub, make sure the speakers are connected properly to the amp. Also make sure that the gain control is turned up. If it is all the way down, you will not hear anything from the sub(s). If none of that works, it is possible that you have a blown sub. If you smell a burnt smell near the speaker magnet, there is damage to the voice coil in the sub.

2 12" subs + 600W amp. Turn on, goes boom once, then red light

Is your gain all the way up? If it done this before, sounds like your over working the amp. Make sure your subs ohm load is capable with the amp load to. If they are 1 ohm and your amp is only 2 ohm stable, it would beat for a lil bit then go into protection mode to. Check your wires too.

Red light is on and subs won't play all the wires are connected correctly it all of a sudden just stopped working one day idk y

sounds like the amp is in protection mode. try disconnecting the subs and see it the light changes to green. if it does then the subs are your problem. if the light was allways red while it was working then the subs may be disconnected inside the box or have gone bad. try using a diffrent speaker and connect to the amp.

Subwoofers won't work and they are brand new

Hello,

I've got a pair of these MTX's subs powered from a Fusion 450 watt 2-channel amp. For the price, they are great. By the way, they are 4-ohm.

My first suspicion would be that something in the first incorrect wiring damaged either the amp or the subs. Can you explain specifically what the "installing the subs incorrectly" means? Was the amp output shorted out at any time or was it operated without a load? Either of these conditions will fry an amp and sometimes, the protection circuitry doesn't work either.

First make sure that your amp is still working. Check both the primary power fuse, usually located near the vehicle battery, and the fuses on both sides of the amp. Make sure that when you turn the system on, the power light comes on steady (blinking is protection mode). Test your subs one at a time on a speaker output.

Memphis PR300.2 Amp protect light on

If it is not turning on your problem is it is not getting power. Check your fuses. The reason an amp goes into protect mode is usually because the subs are not wired up right. Make sure your fuses are good, you have a good ground, and make sure your amp turn on wire didn't come loose when you were putting the deck back in. As for the amp going into protect you probably wired the subs down to too few ohms and the amp you have can't handle it. Try hooking the subs up straight w/o bridgeing them and turn it up to see if it works. If you don't have problems with it then you wired your subs wrong.

Kenwood KAC 7502 Amp trouble

Exchange the amp it is going into Protect. But your sub may be causing this problem if it is shorted. Make sure your subs are wired to at least a 4 ohms. Only a shop can tell you for certain if your sub is shorted or not. But if you are smelling smoke then that amp is already toast.
