There are some adjustments that you can do if you carefully follow the instructions in the video below. I also have a Whirlpool Ice Maker Troubleshooting and Service Manual upon request. Your 67003753 Water Inlet Valve=> 67003753 Water Inlet Valve could be leaking and creating this block of ice. For most Whirlpool/Maytag brand ice makers is is cheaper to replace the core module part number=> D7824706Q Ice Maker Module. Reason being the individual parts add up to more than the cost of all those parts together. Now if interested you can request a Whirlpool Ice Troubleshooting Service Manual by filling out the capsha=> HERE Reason I don't place the manual's here because Whirlpool ask me not to do so, but I will be glad to send you one. The manual is the solution but the most complete module or replacing water valve is the cheapest route. Below is how it is explained a little simpler. If I can help you in any way please ask, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Ice maker won't make ice

most times I see the tray and fill tube ice up its due to a leaky fill valve , this valve should close tight after filling tray , but sometimes they leak just slightly then everything freezes up in a block of ice

fill valves on most all units is located in back lower left corner , just follow the water line in the back of unit

How do I stop my ice maker water filler hose from freezing - which stops water from filling the tray?

This problem is caused by a defective water control valve that does not stop leaking water like a dripping faucet. This causes water to freeze in the water fill tube thus blocking fill of ice tray. Replace water control valve.

Why is my ice maker causing blocks of ice at the bottom of ice bucket ,also on freezer baskets ?

Sounds like there is a leak in the water fill line to the ice maker or the timer in the ice maker is defective causing the fill cycle to overflow the cube tray and then freeze into blocks in the freezer.

My ice freezes as a block when dispensed into ice tray

There are water level adjustment screws behind the plastic cover of the ice maker to adjust the water level when it refills after dumping a tray of ice. When there is to high of a water level it spills over onto the cubes freezing them into a big block. Try to adjust the level of water. There is a arrow which tells you which way to turn the screw to get a smaller fill fixing the problem.

Ice Maker WR30X0327 Freezing Over I have an

We have extremely hard water in the East Mountains of NM. Our refrigerator Ice Makers only lasted about a year before the Calcium from the underground Calcium just killed them. I solved the problem by buying, from ebay, a small restaurant ice-maker. I Always fill it with filtered water, and it has been chugging away for years. Our water tested Harder than an Hot-tub maker had ever seen, even after going through our old, Sears, water-filter. Ergo - how hard is your water? Could that be the problem. Just a thought.

Whirlpool ED5VHEXVQ03 side by side. Ice maker is not making ice. Checked water line - okay. Checked water valve - okay. Water filling tray - okay.

Whirlpool Ice Makers are about the hardest working part on your refrigerator and their average life is about five years. You can fill the tray with tap water if the ice slots are already empty and let the water freeze. If after the water freezes and the ice drops to ice bin then the water control valve.

Click Here=> 4389177 Water Inlet Valve will need replaced. You mentioned the water is filling the tray OK then my focus would be on the ice maker.

Ice maker freezing up

The problem is in the water valve.
The water supply line going to the Ref is connected to a water valve. This valve is not shutting off completely which causes water to drip into the ice maker. This dripping will freeze and eventually completely block the fill tube in the freezer.

My ice freezes together!

Do you mean the ice cubes are too large to be individual cubes and come out as a lump? The water is filled by a timed fill so if the fill solenoid stays open a little and drips water into the cube tray it will have more water than normal. I guess I'm not sure if you mean the ice cubes are stuck together in the tray or are they sticking together in the holding bin area?
