Arcos lincoln 170 minimig when machine is switched on red light on panel illuminates & fun runs. When trigger on torch is depressed wire feed is not engaged & contactor does not engage, have checked fuses all ok, have checked trigger on torch & conectors & wire inside machine. When contactor is pushed manually the trasformer fires into life by humming. Any ideas please. Thanks David

Your description suggests the wires to the torch trigger have shorted during the liner replacement.

Basic question................ Is the ground clamp attached?
Second question..... Did it ever work?
Third question........What happened to make it stop working?

first of all check the wiring from the machine to the torch then check that the thermal cut out light isn't illuminated, operate all switches and test on all settings, check the relay on the pcb and any contactors in there if all the above fails to find the fault then chances are a part on the pcb have failed

It could be just the simple problem of the trigger not working. Disconnect the trigger wires from the machine at the plug at the front of the machine. See if you can manually trigger the machine by placing a piece of bent over mig wire onto the contacts. If the machine does trigger from this then your fault is in the torch somewhere. It could be the trigger (which commonly does fault from a dusty environment) which is easily replaced by going into any welding store with the torch model number (magnum 250L), or it could possibly be that a trigger wire has broken from the torch being damaged
