We have a side by side Kenmore Elite Coldspot about 7 years old (came with the house we bought). The cooler doesn't seem to get colder than 60 degrees but the freezer works fine. We cleaned out the "vents" underneath but that didn't seem to work.

My situation is even worse. The freezer is fine, the icemaker is working fine (no ice burning or extra moisture in freezer), but the refrigirator is warm, because an opening from the freezer gets coverde by ice (i think from cooler side, not from freezer side). if i turn everything off and de-ice, everything works fine for few days until the opening between the two compartments gets covered with ice. it looks like both doors get good fit without any air leaks. my basic analysis lead me to one of the following potential problems:
1. air leak someplace
2. failed temperature sensor in cooler compartment, the one next to fan
3. failed electronic panel.
Please let me know what you think might be the problem.
Thanks in advance
