MACHINE WON'T TURN ON AFTER BEING USED

I am guessing that something is not seated properly. Make sure the bowl clicks when turned...drops the pin in. Make sure the top is ("clicked in") locked. If you poured something out of the bowl and went to re-use it, make sure the blade is seated properly; make sure there is no food caught under the blade hindering the blade to be seated. Everything must be locked in correctly to operate safely.

Cuisinart Food Processor (14 cup capacity) won't turn off. Plug in and it is on.

For cuisinart food processors that won't shut off: with bowl off - not attached - hold OFF button down while plugging in. With a screwdriver or other implement, press the button that gets depressed on motor base when bowl is attached and snapped into place ( small flat rectangular piece that clicks the bowl into place. While still pressing OFF button, press this a few times times, unplug then release the OFF button. I tried several suggested combinations of button pushing and unplugging, and this seems to have fixed it!

Hello,

We don't stay in the same vicinity, so I don't know precisely where you can get the replacement. So I would suggest you order it online.

Click on the below link to order for the replacement.

I have a cuisinart pro classic food processor, and even though bowl and top are locked in place, it will not start.

We fixed the same problem with the same Cuisinart DLC-10S, the problem was the white plastic switch on the work bowl - - it was placed above a short clear plastic partition which blocked the switch from pushing the plunger enough to start the motor. It came out of the box that way, bad quality control. I pushed the white plastic switch down over the partition and now the machine works, and the switch can push the pole down the amount needed to start the motor. Very sloppy packaging by Cuisinart. Now the appliance is working, so far. My wife still likes Cuisinart but I'm suggesting she look at other brands next time. The owners manual for this appliance is C*R*A*P and next to useless.

I want to open the base of the processor, but can't find screws

Remove the 4 rectangular rubber pads on the bottom.

Later you will need some Rubber Adhesive Glue to place them back.

This will give you access to the 4 Phillips screws.

I presently own a Cuisinart Food Processor Model# DLC-7.

I hope this helps you.

Safety-rod of bowl does not depress microswitch of Cuisinart processor

Cuisinart does not have the original pieces available, but you can order a replacement work bowl, lid, sleeve, etc that will work from the company. First do a motor test to make sure the motor is still working:

Cuisinart Food Processors – Motor Test

First, do a motor test by removing the work bowl completely and using a pen to press in the grey button on top of the base (with the food processor turned on of course), toward the back. If the processor spins, the motor is still good. At that point, I would inspect the work bowl pieces, lid, pusher assembly, etc for cracks/damage. If all appears well, insert ALL the pieces back into place and try again. If even one piece is out of place, the processor will not spin.

If it no longer spins, the motor has a problem.

Good luck!

Part removal and replacement

The black plastic clutch has a left-handed brass threaded insert. Temporarily remove the motor to hold the shaft and remove the brass insert by rotating clockwise.
