Hi,

Most common issue on this model is the drain motor itself. More times then not it gets clogged with debris. Pull the unit out and remove the three screws that mount the pump to the bottom of the dw.

take the hoses off and clean the drain motor out. It will fix this issue I have seen it more times then you could imagine. Good luck with your repair friend

Where is food trap located on Jenn-Air ?

Seems like every brand is different but generally speaking, the food trap is located under the main cleaning jet in the bottom of the tub. The part with the nozzles should just pull straight up and allow you to get at the food trap.

Dishwasher always has a nasty odor when you open the door

check the drain hose connection from the dishwasher to the main drain under the sink , it should be connected above the trap . hope this was helpful

Jenn-Air dishwasher will not drain

Hello there:
I am assuming it washes OK

First remove the kick plate.on the front bottom
Is the pump running when it should be draining?
Is The solenoid (Wash/drain) pulling down when it should be draining? (If visable)
Left hand side attached to the pump housing.

If yes then you probably have a blocked drain hose or house drain blockage.
Undo the drain hose at the sink, often stuff can collect where the hose fits over the drain fitting and cause a plug. and also the hose can get clogged on the inlet side of the pump too ok?
If OK. Try to drain it into a pail. Be sure to hold the hose there firmly and put a rag/towel over the top of the pail or you will have water everywhere.
and fully inspect the hose all the way up to the pump .
Hope his is very helpful for you
Best regards Michael

Drainage problem

I had similar problem and rerouted the drain hose like papps54 said. I still had the condition and decided to pull out the drain hose completely to see if there was any debris trapped inside the hose. There was! I removed the hose from the machine completely, cleared out the debris, and let the hose soak in white vinegar overnight. In the meantime, I looked back up the drain outlet and found evidence of debris lodged in there as well. I didn't completely dismantle the dishwasher at this point but I did eventually clear it out as well as the drain filter located inside the dishwasher. After reassembling the drain hose and dishwasher, I cleaned it with baking soda for three nights and now it runs very well with no odors. Runs quieter as well.

Dishwasher fills with water... wont wash

usually if the motor is not kicking in then it is a blocked/seized wash motor or a broken wire somewhere from the timer to the motor. either will mean a stripdown. try checking out the motor first.
