It needs service to clean inside. this click sound is spark of high volts, generated by H-V block, got carbonise dust ( black ) arround it.

No sound or picture but lights come on sony wega plasma

Typical failure for all plasma tv's is a blown Y-sustain board. Another high failure for all tv's is dried out bulging capacitors in any of the power boards. You likely have one of these problems.

That model is an LCD that uses a backlight. Probably with CCFL tubes. They are known to have bad inverter supplies. Its an old TV though. Keep that in mind.

50PFP5332D Plasma tv. My tv sounds like its trying to turn on but the blue light flashes and a clicking noise keeps repeating and no picture.

I have the same problem with my TV. I haven't verified this yet, but someone I know who's a electronics genius told me that its the buttons on the TV (power, channel, volume, etc.) He said at the factory many of the "button boards" were tightened too much and cracked. When you turn the TV on, the clicking noise is a loose connection. He said it's easy to replace yourself, and about 30 bucks on ebay. No promises though.

RCA HD61LPW42 - no picture

I haven't worked on an RCA DLP but have on Samsung DLP, based on your description it sounds like the color wheel is bad. Take the back off and turn on TV make sure its not a fan making the noise ,but most likely its the "wheel" it is inside the light engine probably right next to where the lamp is plugged in. If the whine comes from this area definitely the wheel.

52" plasma tv - turns on - and I hear something reset inside

i hear a clicking noise- the clicking noise is most likely you ballast trying to power the lamp, but failing. this may indicate a defective ballast if you have recenty purchased a new lamp.I recomend you have your lamp tested to help narrow down the cause of the defect. It's highly unlikely for a new lamp to be dead on arrival

This is a fault definately. I have run into this with Samsung plasma tv's and find if you do some electrical adjustments you can usually remedy the situation. Sometimes though, it is the panel going bad or a board. Do u have any pictures i can see? Also keep in mind that if you have a DVM you can make the adjustments yourself. Good luck...GURU JAY
