JVC called it a C-CASSETTE or a compact VHS tape.

remove the battery, then insert it. then try inserting your tape in.

try putting tape into it may be the switch that sense tape is stuck or out of order it shud not play without tape this i s abnormal let me know if can help u further

you know what it could be a malfuntion in the circiut take it to future shop or something

The capten belt slipped from the motor.so remoce the mechanisum and fix with a new one.
