I have a Frigidaire professional side by side fridge model# LPHS2687KFO water is leaking before entering ice maker thus the ice maker is not working, water is leaking in freezer

I understand that you are seeing a brown liquid come from under your dispenser area. I would recommend you having a professional come out to your appliance to check and assure the water lines are connected properly and not developing any moisture problems to form from under your dispenser. Contact a professional. Sounds like either your damper door is not operating correctly and not letting enough cool air from the freezer enter, or there is an air leak that is making ice form .

If you hook up the water to the fridge, that means you connected the water line to the 'Water Inlet Valve' of the machine. There should be a two wire harness connected to the water valve back. Look for that....

But please note following...

Some water valves in fridges are complicated with one harness for water dispenser line valve and another harness for ice maker water line.

Also seeing a disconnected wire harness does not mean it is for the water valve. May be most likely. But be careful sometime there are test wire harness for technicians to get power readings for components.

Pull the fridge away from the wall and check where the water line enters the fridge for the ice maker. If there is a fitting there, make sure that it is tight or the clamp is secure. If it looks cracked or split in any way, remove it and replace it with new hose.

sounds like the sensors are playing up causing the bottom of the fridge to freeze, this will also cause the water reservior to freeze thus no water to the ice tray and water dispensor. do a full defrost then see if you gain back all the functions proving the sensor fault.

Check the fill tube for the ice maker and make sure it is in the correct place. This sounds like the fill tube has been moved and is running water into the freezer instead of the ice maker. Let me know what you find. I am here to help you.

Check the water valve at the back of fridge. Are you getting water at the dispenser on the door? If so, the water valve may not be bad, but sometimes water will freeze in the tube that fills the icemaker. Pull it out from the back of the fridge and check it.Hope this helps !

sounds like you got a water valve problem. it will be found at the lower back side of fridge where the water hook up is at.

You have a bad diode on the water valve connection frigidaire has a kit for this fix..
