I have had a JVC HD-61Z456 for about 3 years now never had any issues. Worked just fine this morning came home from work turned tv on and the screen was black power light came on in from like normal then red led lamp light started flashing after about 4 seconds. Does this mean the lamp is out? never received any warning signs or anything?
Any help would greatly be apprecaited
Great Work! I spoke with a tv tech the other day. Told me same thing. The tv was on when it was raining really hard out side,No power surge protector on it. I replaced the lamp problem still continued.You turn the tv on power light comes on. It sounds like it is going to strat up then lamp L.E.D. light flashes really fast. I tried unplugging for a while and plugging back in.Same thing. I tryed removing the bulb and reinstaling again. 100% sure it has to be the light ballace. model
QAL0765-001 i guess this will tech me to get a good surge protector this time.

Usually, if the red light is flashing and you get no picture, that means that the lamp life cycle is finished and you'll have to get a replacment lamp. the lamp has about 3000 hours of life (2 to 3 years under nomal use).

lol...My 02 Altima Original Radio....wouldnt read ..or skipped on Cd,s in the morning ......in the evening it played fine.....I replaced it with one that plays mp3,s......and very happy now :) 6 years is the norm for a radio...
I am deeply sorry but you will need to replace the backlight bulbs. These are not available.
Look on Ebay for a 32" JVC with a broken LCD Screen. Buy it and use these bulbs to fix your TV. I am sure there will be a few good ones in the broken TV. It's that or list it on Ebay for $50 and expect to get about 200-300.
LCD Panel repair for this problem is $500 for parts so you are stick with repair yourself or sell.

Try unplugging the TV for about 30 minutes to an hour (reset TV) to see if this fixes your issue. If it does not, leave the TV unplugged all night and see if it will operate normally. Hope this helps.
control boards on LCDs and PLASMA tvs are causing no picture , missing area , and other wierd symptoms , it will need to be tested to determine the true problem
