I have a Generac generator mod. 00803-4 propane in a camper. It starts and runs great for maybe one minute or maybe 30 minutes. Then all at once it turns its self off as if you turned the switch off. It will start right up and run perfect again for an underermined amount of time. I've taken the oil pressure and high temperature sensors out of the circuit by unpluging; no change. Bewildered!
I can jumper to the gas valve and it will not shut down. I'm begining to think the engine control board is defective or the computer control board. I have replaced the ignition control modual; no change. I just hate to spend $400 for a new CCB. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Check the comprssion, if you are sure you have a spark and gas. Is the fuel been delivered to the cylinders? Check the fuel solenoid for power, if power is present the demand gas regulator maybe gummed up. LP companies put a waxy lubricant in the gas and over time this can build up and harden in regulators. Also during crank observe the throttle is it going open as it should? if not suspect a control issue
You did not specify fuel. If running natural gas or propane, check the diameter of your feed line. You need at least 1/2 to 3/4 pipe diameter on the NG or propane. At 60KW I would guess at least 3/4 maybe larger for NG.
Most Generac generators have a lever for the choke that pulls out. So if the generator is being started for the first use or cold you should choke when starting . Let it run for 30-45 sec. then push it in . Once the engine has been run or warm you dont need to choke every time when starting .
