I can not increase or decrease volume on my JBL encounter speaker system

Did you check the continuity of the line? If the end line (Jack) is pulled out several times over, the stress on the wires causes some wires to fray or breakaway. A pattern of increased resistance results and thus lower volume to the speakers. You may need to cut the end, replace the jacks.

Press and hold the "Fn," or function, key on your EEE PC-1000's keyboard.

Press "F3" while holding "Fn" to lower the brightness on your monitor.

The brightness on your computer decreases each time "F3" is pressed.

Press "F4" while holding "Fn" to increase the brightness on your monitor.

Each time "F4" is pressed, the brightness increases.

Press "F8" while holding "Fn" to decrease the volume from your EEE PC's speakers.

Each time "F8" is pressed, the volume decreases.

Press "F9" while holding "Fn" to increase the volume from your EEE PC's speakers.

Each time "F9" is pressed, the volume increases.

Press the "Ins" key while holding "Fn" to take a screen shot, or make a copy of what is currently on the computer screen.

click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any further volume control settings you will need to right click on the volume icon system select adjust volume

Most of the time their are multiple ways to do this.

1. On the speaker in the lower right hand corner left click and a volume bar appears. Slide it up and down. It should be adjust to 75% IMO.

2. On your keys there should be symbols that look like speakers that should match the color of you "fn" key. Press and hold the fn key and then press the corresponding speaker key to increase or decrease the volume.

3. There may be a rotary volume control on the front of the laptop case. It's as simple as turning it to increase or decrease it.

On the volume bar in windows verify that the muted in unchecked.

mcdevito75 here, Try to increase the volume from your keyboard, Then adjust the volume at the speakers, there should be only 1 volume control on 1 speaker to control them both, also check your connections at both speakers.

There are 2 types of volume in your nokia phone that you can increase or decrease.

The first one is the ring tone volume. You can either increase or decrease your ring tone volume by pressing the menu key then go to settings, go to profile, select any desired profile go to personalise go to ringing volume, then increase or decrease by using the navigation button to the right or left.

The second way is to increase or decrease the volume of the speaker of your phone which i think is the cause of your question (this volume enables you to hear clear and loud the person on the other phone). actually i want tat d voice effect should b lik a surround system nd for tat i hv 2 increase d volume...by increasing the volume it gives a wonderful effect outside but m nt gettin ane vibrations inside ma car nd moreover i think thr is sm problem with vocals..shud i go 4 sm tweeters so tat sm clarity effect can b increased?..

If you are using windows then go to

• control panel
• open-> sound and audio devices
• a window will open showing your sound configuration
• towards the bottom of that window, you would find speaker volume-click it
• on the next window, click the button saying restore deafults

Now check the sound.

Double check your connections. Still not working fine. Remove the input jack connector and try to touch or hold the tip of the connector, also adjust the volume of the speaker, you should heard loudly the 60 hertz sound of your body signal. Otherwise you have a defective amplifier in the speaker system.
