I am assuming you have a gun if you have black ops. then you just aim the gun when you have the wii remote installed properly into it. basically you aim the top part of the wii remote. Thanks, Lee

Usually heat or bad sectors/ corrupt sectors on the hard drive will cause this issue.
I'd recommend getting two cans of compressed air, taking it outside and clearing out the dust, then when you play cod run a mini fan directly onto the unit.
COD runs heavy on the graphics hence it happening more with that game than others ;)
NO lights? must be a power issue. But you were playing black ops when this happened? interesting. There have been reports of Black Ops causing problems on PS3. Many believe that the game makes the processors work too hard, causing premature failure.
If the problem is only with the Black Ops game it could mean that the the game paly data is corrupt. Start by deleting the saved game data and the file data for the Black Ops game and if that doesn't work try doing a system restore. NOTE: A system restore will delete all other game data. I recommend backing up your system onto a usb flash drive.
Check for scratches on the disc. If the disc is unscathed, then try this. If you know someone else with Black ops for 360 ask for their help. First try their copy in your 360. If theirs works it's your disc. If their disc doesn't work either, then try yours in their 360 online at their place. If it works there, then you might need to strengthen your internet connection.
Sign into a PSN account and launch Call of Duty: Black Ops III. After reaching the Main Menu, connect a second controller. Press X on the second controller to connect the other player online. Once connected, press X again to attach the split screen player.
