Re: Our Kenmore Elite fridge mod 596.76252702, leaks...
The condensate drain that takes the defrost water out of the fridge is blocked.
Pour some warm soapy water down the freezer drain and this may clear it
The drain is situated in the back wall of the freezer. If you get behind the fridge you will see it. Then you will be able to find the opening on the inside of the fridgeThe drain is situated in the back wall of the freezer.

please double check that your freezer door is closing properly. You can also pull the fridge out and check whether the water is coming from the back of the of the fridge. If not, then that means there's a leak under the fridge and if that's the case you'll need to schedule a diagnostic on the fridge. You might reach out to Kenmore over the phone directly to ask them to send you a technician for this.
dear Bill if its a no frost refigerator sounds like you might have to take all the drwars out unscrew or detach the back plate and defrost the fridge manually and then unblock the drain hole which goes to the back of the fridge into a plastick container ontop of the compressor which in turn will evaporate from the heat of the compressor . Hope this does the trick .. good luck. Tony
the drain tube above &be hind ceiling has drain cup on older fridge this gets stopped up with gunk and stuff. held on back wall by 2 screws. This is a top freezer Your describing other wise the drain tube is in the freezer and you'd have ice in the floor of the fridge. If your fridge doesn't have it in the top back of the fridge compartment it is entirely in the upper freezer compartment and is still stopped up probably w ice and gunk. Defrost w hair dryer and while you can see the drain pan and hole pour in a cup of water if it goes down your good other wise blow out the drain with compressed air and retry the water. Please rate me accordingly and good luck.
The drain is clogged. The drain is usually located inside the freezer on the bottom shelf to the rear. Use a meat baster and a solution of 1 tsp. baking soda and 2 cups of hot water-not boiling to unclog the drain. You probably also have about 1/2 inch of ice build-up on the bottom shelf. This will have to be removed first.
I replaced my "entire" ice cube maker (tube, hoses, water pump, ice maker) and it still pooled water at the bottom. I removed the back panel in the freezer and noticed the ciols go through a defrost cycle and water forms in tray under coils. I removed the lower panel on rear of fridge -and found a drain hose near the water solenoid/pump. I blew compressed air into the hose and hopefully unblocked it so it can drain into the pan not the freezer.
