Hisense Model TL 3220. Remote has long since not worked. No big deal. But, over the past month, the TV seems to be recieving phantom inputs which change the tv channels, volume, power on/off, etc... I can change it back manually but it usually lasts only a couple of seconds and then changes tv channels. Sometimes it lasts longer. Sometimes when I pull up the menu screen it is automatically scrolling as if the volume/channel buttons are pressed.
I have exactly the same problem except when my remote went out I purchased a replacement so I very rarely use the buttons. Additionally when I shut the TV off it will wait anywhere between ten seconds and an hour and switch itself on.

It could well be the accumulation of dirt/dust behind the buttons causing them to stick. If you are able to carefully remove the board that the buttons are located on and use a cleaner that will de-grease at the same time. Be sure that everything is dry as can be before re-assembling and then check if the problem persists. If you are not capable of doing this trust a competant technician. Hope this helps.

You have to find out if the remote is sending out the infrared signal to the TV remote receiver or not, you can test that by pointing the remote at the digital camera, you should see flashing light on the camera screen when any one of the remote button is pushed (digital camera can detect infrared light). If get the flashing light then the problem is in the TV remote sensor. http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague http://www.badcaps.net
If your telly has no HDMI then I assume it mus have DVI instead. You can buy a DVI to HDMI adaptor from most good electrical stockists but the only problem is the financial one for the extra cost for the leads :-) Hope this helps.
Hey Billy Lee, If you're unsure how to unlock your TV, you may wish to check out Hisense's online documentation for the TL-2020 through the following link: http://www.hisense.com/en/Support/download_manual.jsp Instructions on how to disable any feature locks should be included in downloadable files on "page 9" and "page 10" of Hisense's support forums. Hope this helps you out. Sincerely, Aaron Go Ahead. Use Us.
