The double oven will only work if a time is set on the clock. Any time will do, you just have to set a time. The grill/top oven is independent of the clock. If the clock is faulty espare can sorce them for you.

What is the worst that could happen if an electric double oven ceramic hob had the neutral and earth mains power wired the wrong way round ?

Electronic controller would most likely be damaged and need to be replaced. These things usually cost between $350-$400

Hi, 3 of the 4 oven hobs have failed to work on the 720ef. only 1 of them heats up now. when you turn the knob of the failed hobs only 1 out of the 3 makes the click noise but still doesnt heat up,...

Normally the 720ef is the oven, the hob is a separate unit and in my case is a STOVES 600G gas unit. Your unit may have a built on hob but the handbook for the 720ef does not detail this. In my case the hob ID is on the lower right hand side of the unit.
I think you will find that the elements may have failed but you will need to identify the hob to ensure correct replacements. Normally the element rating is on the base of the element. The handbook will tell you how to take the thing to pieces. It is possible that the hob element controls have failed but unlikely for all three or it may be a combination of both parts. I think you may have to contact an electrician to test everything to sort this out.

Having taken the oven out to fix a problem with the hob (720EF double oven and grill), reinstalled the oven and powered –up, the clock won’t come on and stay on, the oven and hob appear to work! Any...

Both the top and bottom oven will only work if a time (any time) has been set on the clock. Setting the time operates a contact to switch the power through. The only exception is the grill. This will work even if the time has not been set. So if the oven controls/lights and heating work, to me it means that the clock/timer is half working and the only thing that isn't is the display.
I haven't had the clock/timer to bits but a fellow blogger has said that in some timers there is an electrolytic capacitor that controls the display. When this fails as they are renowned for doing, the dispaly mal functions. If there is one then Maplin have some - VHR41W/43W and DT64U depending on value etc. Let us know how you get on.
If you need a new clock/timer they are around £80 from espares.

MY STOVES COOKER'S OVEN AND GRILL HAS STOPPED WORKING?THE HOB IS WORKING FINE.

The hob is normally totally independent of the oven. What is actually working or not working on the oven? i.e. does the grill still work, is the clock OK and can you set it, or is everything totally dead?

I have replaced a Kelvinator hob with a ceramic hob. It works but the owen is not working. What is the problem?

There are possibly a number of options. It could be that in wiring the hob in you have disturbed the wiring for the oven. Normally the oven works off the main oven control switch on the panel and the hob could be wired into something else.
Is the oven totally dead no power at all for everything, or is the clock running but the oven will not switch on?

Bottom oven not heating up Fan not working but hasnt worked4 ages

Many thing can do this but, common things are....loose high voltage wire.....poor solder joint on board.....magnetron.....power relay..... also This most commonly is a bad door switch, other possible problems are a faulty relay or solder joint on the power module, but a bad door switch is most common.

Hotpoint Double Oven ceramic hob

suspect more than one problem. half grill not working may be due to half the element gone open circuit. the other problems could be due to an installation fault. many ovens have links in the connection box which have to be tightened down. this is often overlooked. look at the connection box or terminal strip to check. there is often a diagram of hoiw it should be done adjacent.
