If the heat is working correctly on the dryer then you have lint blocking the air movement in the dryer.if the vent line is long from the back of the dryer to the outside duct, remove the vent line from the back of the dryer,go outside and make sure nothing is blocking the outside duct like a cage or screen,if there is remove it.then go back inside i use a leaf blower to blow out the line,i've seen bird nests blow out of the vent line.also unplug the dryer, remove the lint filter, remove the bottom panel then remove the duct that the filter slides into and clean that out.if this isn't the problem then check to make sure the heat is working correctly, but it sounds like there's a block in the line somewhere.
Check the vent cap on the outside of your home to see what the air flow is like when the machine is on. It should be forceful enough to blow your haire back if you were to put your face in front of it. Make sure the vent hose behind the dryer is as short as possible and is not pinched or coiled. This definitely sounds like an air flow issue.
