My freezer doesn't seem cold all of a sudden, but the fridgeis ok. Neither is overstuffed, no leaks, smells or weird noises. Hasn't been moved, unlikely that plug is loose.
Has been happening for the last 4 hours.
Also, is 1 the warmest setting? Normally have it on 6, tried putting it to 7, but then decided to put it back to y.

refrigerant doesn't smell much at all. remove all drawers, clean and defrost, rinse inside with sanitizer. you may find somethimg fallen where you can't see it normally. also check and clean outside as well, particularly around the compressor and condenser where it gets very hot.
if you go here you can see the damper, fan assy. that's in the top of your machine in the fresh food side http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Damper/WR49X10091/1055112 this is a damper with another fan in it,when the t-stat calls for cold air the damper door opens to let the cold air in from the freezer and the fan in it blows the cold air around inside the fridge,if the freezer is fine and the fridge side is warm most likely this is your problem, part number WR49X10091 and it's around 130 dollars.unplug the machine, remove the light cover on the ceiling, remove the 1/4 inch screws and drop the light assy.remove thhe filter cover on the right side so you can remove the damper assy.pop off the cover on the piece that runs up the back center, remove the screws to the damper, read the instructions and put it back together again.should take you around 45 to 60 minutes.hope this helps and good luck.
Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing thencheck out the last two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...
Check out these tips that I wrote about that... it is a great place to starttrouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then callinga repair person to do a simple thing for you...
There are a few possibilities. First, Is the freezer portion working okay? If yes, then the problem is blocked air flow from the freezer to the frig. If no, then the cooling fan could be bad or the thermostat could be bad. First check for temperature in Freezer section, should be about 4-8 degrees no more. If it is cold, then locate the cooling fan behind the back of the frig and see if it is moving or listen for movement. If it is moving then rearrange the food in your freezer compartment.and frig compartment away from the vents. If it is not moving, then the thermocouple could be bad. compressor problems and freon leaks are not that common unless the frig has been moved alot. The cooling fan or thermocouple or overstuffed freezer compartment are the usual suspects in 90 % of cooling problems. cooling fans and thermocouples can be cleaned by using canned compressed air to remove dust which will sometimes cause a failure. The parts are inexpensive but labor is about $80. Start with the freezer because all of the cooling for the whole unit starts in the freezer.
ok exhaust smells tend to intensify in cold weather. your vehicle is using more fuel the colder it gets. once the engine warms up does the smell go away? if it does, then i wouldn't worry.
if the fridge and freezer are still getting cold it is either just the sound of the refrigerant moving through the system or i would try checking the drain incase it has iced up
the fridge distrubutes cold by air movement. A overstuffed fridge can have trouble. There is a fan that blows a controlled amount of freezer air over to the food side, altho when this goes you usually have frozen freezer and food too warm. Make sure the air is allowed to move.
