Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
This symptom is caused by a water inlet valve that is bypassing water when it is supposed to be shut off. The inlet water valve is not repairable and must be replaced when this symptom occurs. There can be yet other problems with he ice-maker itself, but changing the water inlet valve will correct this about 95 % of the time. Changing the inlet water valve is the first step in troubleshooting. Should you call for in home service; the tech will change the inlet water valve before doing any other troubleshooting and will most likely have to return after 24 hours to continue ice-maker troubleshooting.
If you need help locating a replacement inlet water valve I will need your complete model number.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly
Sorry for the delay. My house was within 1 inch of flooding and we spent the day moving stuff. Water is now receeding!
I hate to ask questions vs answering questions but is this a UK or AU model? Somehow I get the feeling this a 220V water vavle.

I finally found the correct water valve for your unit and you can find it here:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdir... $39.99
The part number is there but there is not an item number reference for the water valve.
