    Sony Wega Triniton KV-32FS100 TV



    For the last week my TV has been going to a black screen for 10 seconds
    or so then the picture returns. It has been continual. Last night it
    stopped going to black screen, but now the standby light flashes 5
    consecutive times and the color went haywire. A lot of red and
    everything that is suppose to be black is green.



    I did a soft and hard reset with no success. What's wrong and is it worth fixing? Bought new in November 2002.

Our Sony, wide screen, trinitron model number kv-h34hs420 tuns on then off and the stand by/timer ( red) light blinks 6 times
you have to check you timinig on/off setting.

Sony KV-34BR800 TV intermitent startup problem Have to try remote multible time,will finally turn on.
try cleaning small lens on end of remote and receiver window on t-v (usually a small plastic covered window- on the front). if still have problem- could be you need new batteries in remote, or button on remote needs cleaning. a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol (91% or better!) use very little alcohol- just damp! may have some crud around button.

Top of screen slants on the right and left side horizontally

1/3rd of Bottom portion of Screen is blacked out
sound like you have cloced caption text on, this is not the same as the normal cloced caption, look on your rempte for caption or "cc". if you don't see it you will find it in your menu & turn it off. have a good day.
