Hey, someone please help me. I have an issue with my PC. this is what happened. My PC, an IBM ThinkCentre, running on Windows XP, used to give trouble in loading got stuck. My friend recommended that I restore factory settings and I did as I was told. But after restoring I ended up with an OS completely in Chinese. I did not have a clue of what to do, so I posted on the net and got some responses which asked me to do it again and lookout for any option that requests to set the Language of the OS. I tried it. The PC restored, but when it started to reboot, a command prompt window appeared saying "Now preparing to start your new computer.. Type the name of the Command Interpreter (e.g. , C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM)) A>_" I don't know what has to be typed in. can someone please help me?

I posted the previous solution :)
You can name your machine what ever you like I would keep it simple and not include spaces to avoid confusion. The last machine I rebuilt I named after my dog "Ollie".

Looks like , it does not find boot partition..Try below procedure & see if this helps...

  • Turn off your computer. After the computer has completely shut down, turn the laptop on.
  • Press the "F1" button, or the blue Access IBM button if your laptop has that option

Choose "Restore Factory Settings" from the Menu screen that opens on your computer.

  • Follow all onscreen instructions. When the process is complete, the laptop is restored to factory settings.

Please rate & vote, if you like solution.. Thanks Sandeep

Couldn't find audio driver for IBM thinkcentre MT-M 8327-77G for windows 7

That because this system came XP. You will need to run drivers on compatibility mode if possible.

My buddy has an IBM ThinkCentre Desktop and he wants to nrestore it to factory settings because it was used for a hotel and when they got thier new PCs they sold all thier old ones

The best way to restore the ThinkCentre desktop back to the factory default is to re-install Windows.
You need a Windows installation CD (XP, or Vista) with the product installation code. After installing Windows then install the Thinkcentre device drivers for this model desktop which you download from the IBM ThinkCentre WEB site, you may need to download the LAN driver from a computer that has Internet connection and install it on the ThinkCentre so it has Internet access to download the remaining device drivers OR you may decide to download all the device drivers and copy and install them on the ThinkCentre.
