Switch machine on but do not program.
Press and hold PREWASH button.
After a few seconds it begins beeping.
Keep holding PREWASH button in until beep gets quiet
then eventually stops.

To turn the beep off (or volume down) on the Exxcel 7 (BOSCH WAE24468GB you do the following:
1. Turn setting dial to off.2. Turn dial one step clockwise (wait for panel to light)3. Keep finger on 'RPM' button and turn dial another step clockwise and release finger.4. The default setting of '2' should appear on the display, this represents the Button Signal Volume5. Pressing 'Ready in' button cycles through the volume settings from 0 (off) to 4 (very loud!). 6. Turn dial another step clockwise to set the 'Information Signal Volume', which is also set to '2' by default. This is the one that annoys everyone at the end of the cycle! All the manuals are on the Bosch website, if you know the model code.
Sounds like you have a blocked pump.To empty the machine manually lower the drain hose into a bowl or bucket.Once emptied the door should open.On most modern machines there will be a filter behind the kick plate at bottom front of machine, Check this for any foreign objects then try a spin before putting on again.If problem persists come for further options.
