The alarm plays at the same volume the ringer is set at, put it on loud before bed if it doesn't wake you up. Weirdly you can even set the phone to silent after making it loud, that way wont wake you if you get a text/email during the night.

My lg quantum won't let me download apps. It keeps telling me to try again later. Please help.

if you're trying to download application to a service provider and you got error with this type of message, this might be a network time-out or failed to transmit application to your phone.

well i''ll give you this free web link so you can enjoy your mobile features.you can use wi-fi connection directly on your phone or Pc may do as well,

go to this link : http://phone.mobile9.com/i/lg+quantum/

* just download any application you wish
* set the download folder were it will be placed or locate.
* you can use bluetooth device to transfer the file to your phone (pc bluetooth should be active)
* you can use a multi-media card reader and paste all of your application to you memory card.
* or a data cable can do as long you have a pc suite installed & phone drivers.

after the application was download to your mobile, just open the file and file the instruction.

I am unable to set up alarm on phone.

  • 1

Activate your phone's main menu. An array of icons will appear on your screen, and you can use the directional arrows to navigate through the various applications and features of your phone.

  • 2

Go to "Settings" and open this feature. Select "Tools" and scroll down to "Alarm Clock."

  • 3

Select "New Alarm," which will open a new window on the screen.

  • 4

Scroll through the "Name," "Time," "Alert" and "Volume" categories, filling in the necessary information for these categories. Give the alarm a name, and under "Time" use the directional arrows to enter the specific time you want to awaken. "Alert" and "Volume" will allow you to customize the alarm sound and how loud it will be.

Click "Change" or "Set Alarm" when you have finished, and the alarm will be saved and programmed to ring at the time specified.

    No alarm clock sound

The alarm volume is muted by default, and every now and then, it will reset itself to mute. I haven't figured out what causes it to reset (possibly reboots?).

Anyway, in order to set your alarm volume, you will need to get to the list of alarm sounds. From this list, you can adjust the volume of your alarms using the volume rocker on the left side of the phone.

There is no other place to set your alarm volume.

    Good luck.

Can't find the hands free speaker button

In an increasingly hands-free world, the external speaker feature of cell phones has increased the usability of cell phonesmag-glass_10x10.gif in the car, public transportation and at work. The volume controls on the external speaker controls can be somewhat difficult to find and manipulate.
    1. Step 1 Make sure the speaker setting is actually on. If the speaker is turned to off, the volume you hear will be coming from the earpiece and will be very low indeed. Sometimes there is a button on a cellphone which you can simply press and hold to activate the speaker function. You will notice a difference immediately.
    2. Step 2 Check to see if you have external volume controls. On some models, there is a button or two buttons that adjust the volume of both the handset and the speaker volume. If you have these buttons, use them to adjust these controls while on calls. Remember that adjusting the speaker volume will subsequently adjust the handset volume once you've turned off the speaker mode.
    3. Step 3 Access the sound controls in your phone. If your phone does not have external speaker control, it can be accessed by adjusting the controls saved on your phone. Also, the main settings can be controlled even if you do have external controls. Phones are different, but in your menu of options, choose sound and sound controls. This should give you options for ring volume, alarm volume and handset volume.
    4. Step 4 FInd volume controls for all settings. If you wish yo have multiple settings for each function---alarm, calls and speaker---you should be able to adjust these accordingly. Search through the control options until you've found speaker controls. Choose the setting you desire and save the settings.
    5. Step 5 Using the main volume as a foundation, use the external controls (if applicable) to adjust the levels.

    LG env3 alarm clock vibrate

Yeah, I had that problem too. I thought my phone was broken. -_- My old phone from Verizon is like 4 years old and I JUST got my enV3. On my old phone, I'd have to set the alarm's ringtone to "no ring." But, on my enV3, "no ring" literally means NO ring, no vibration, no notification, no nothing. On the enV3, in order to set your alarm clock to vibration mode, all you have to do is make sure you "master volume" is in vibration mode, but you have to set your alarm's ringtone to something other than "no ring."

    Can't scroll up volume control

You could try to go to the menu, then sounds, then settings, then sound settings, then ringer volume. You should be able to adjust it there.
    Good Luck! Hope this helps!

    Alarm clock, LG Shine phone

I just "personalised" the outdoor profile to set the message alert to silent, while still keeping the ring volume on high.
I also picked the divert call option so the phone doesn't ring.
So I just change the phone profile before I go to sleep and divert my calls.
Kind of an awkward solution..I'm considering getting an alarm clock or just using my old phone's alarm clock
