Sansa e260 has no space left to write the database info. Vista and also Windows Media Player don't ''see'' any files. I can listen to all the music on the MP3 but I want to delete some and add others.

Same problem delete a couple of songs up to 6 mg or 10 whatever then allow to refresh then download your songs back in the music file. the sansa needs some memory to know it has the sdcard in it...

Go to my computer scroll to sansa and open the media folder and open each sub folder and delete manually then delete the folders themselfs then format a couple of times hope this works
Start over put new songs on it

Problem uploading songs on iPod Shuffle

Are you running the most current version of iTunes? If not try upgrading. After that, try seeing if there is an firmware upgrade. If there is, try upgrading that too. Then try reuploading songs. If it is still not working, it might be damaged or just not working anymore. Only use Itunes when uploading songs to ipod regardless of type.

Writing from media

It depends on how many songs you are trying to transfer. I wouldn't try transferring more than 10 at a time - should take 2-3 minutes max. 200 songs is going to take at least an hour on some players, and you are prone to run into problems.

Sansa m230 problems

Do you use Napster by any chance? Some music services actually remove songs after the subscription expires, or if you haven't synced your Sansa to that service within 30 days. Convert all songs to mp3 format, and you will not have that format.

Also, your DB could have become corrupt. A firmware upgrade usually resolves it.

Wont put songs on

I would wait for the writing message to go away before disconnecting the player - this is the standard message it will give you when you are transferring songs to the player. If it still says writing after 5 minutes (this is assuming you are not trying to load more than 20 songs at once), then you might have a real problem.

Make sure the files you are trying to load do not have DRM encryption on them, and also make sure they are in mp3 or wma format.

If you have Windows Media Player 11:
Quick Method 1 - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Quick Method 2 - Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx
