If the antenna is exposed that radio will get inductance, normally most walkie talkie antennas are

composed of a coil of bare wire, a shield around the wire to keep out inductance or noise, and

the outer layer to keep it together and protected. if the metal is exposed you can cover the area

with a piece of aluminum foil and wrap it with black tape or electrical rubber tape sold at most

hardware stores or an electrical supplier. or you can go and by another antenna. good luck!

with old antennas, the rubber will go away. the material gets harder every year and in the end it breaks away. with known frquency, purchase of new antenna is no problem in my shop : www.oppermann-telekom.de

One of my Floureon XF-388 Walkie Talkies is not making sound. The volume is all the way up, and the batteries are fully charged. No sound is coming out.

Use the external talk/listen speaker/microphone. You get audio your internal speaker or connection is bad. Still no audio the audio power circuit is bad. Find a electronic tech & ask for a repair. Good luck.

My walkie talkie motorola em1000 have buzzing sound when another walkie is talking. and have buzzing sound when pressing the button.

Just a few thoughts: It is possible you have a bad (blown) speaker on the buzzing radio or the radio has another problem.

A few things you might try include: 1) Cleaning your battery contacts, 2) trade batteries with the known good unit and see if the problem is solved, if so replace the battery, 3) check the mic and speaker holes on both units to be certain they are free of debris and/or stickers covering the holes. 4) if none of these solve the problem, then your radio likely needs retired/replaced.

Best regards.

Walkie talkies were working yesterday (gift from Christmas) and today the red power light is on indicating both working, but we can only get sound out of one of them.....any suggestions? brand new...

Hello,
These walkie talkies are pretty simple to use. Turn on and turn the volume up and talk. So if you turn it on it is possible for there to be enough juice in the batteries to make the LED function but not enough to modulate (or talk) to the other walkie talkie. Have you tried to replacing the batteries with new ones yet? Sometimes recharge ables go bad and they are no good when you install them into your item. So make sure the batteries you installed are "new." And replace in both units. Should this not work, given the nature of the item and the age of those who will more than likely be using them, they break and soldier joints come loose. The back has a screw that is a specialty tool to remove. Outside of removing that and taking a look there is not much that can be done. Make sure to put at least 5 feet between the two radios to allow for good reception.
Regards, Tony

Hello i have a Uniden GMR-325 (7 Channels) Two Way Radio that....

Hi Zachary
I predict that you have trouble with only one unit.
Try to find some one with either the same units ( on same Frequency of course) or a receiver that also covers same Frequency and transmit on one GMR then the other to esablish which unit is faulty!
The faulty unit should then become apparent, the buzzing could be caused by transmisson of the faulty unit, check all Antenna connections, even change antennas over on testing as prescribed above,
good luck John.

Nextel i850 can't receive calls

  • may be the walkie talkie can recieve signals only to an certain distance,so it may be due to the signal problem........
  • if the reciever is beyond the permitted distance it loose its frequency...........
  • or else the person who is calling walkie talkie might not hav signal in that area.....
  • and if the walkie talkie does not recieve any signal then the receiver component present inside the walkie talkie might be damaged.........
  • and if it does not reply to an signal transmitter might be damaged..........

Can you supply the frz range of the TRC, and walkie talkies make and model and I will try and get the frez on the channels for you.

I can then tell if it will work or not.
