What filter,do you mean the cap in the middle of the pump?if so then the pump is bad and needs to be replaced.it's a long drain pump part number is 280187 and it's around 120 dollars.you can press the pause/cancel button twice to cancel the code also how much detergent are you using?you should only be using 1/4 cup of h.e. detergent, any more you will damage the spider gear and then it's time for a new washer, you'll know when the gear is bad,it will bang loudly and the tub will bouce all around, also the pump can't pump out suds and this is a problem.check the pump one more time, loosen the middle cap of the pump, with a shop vac vac up any water that leaks out until it stops and then remove the cap, stick your finger in the pump and make sure nothing is hitting the impellar, most of the time you'll see water in the plastic part of the pump where the motor is or the impellar feels broken or disconnected from the pump and just flopping around when you touch it.put the cap back in,fill it with a little water and put it on drain spin,if the water drains your fine if not change out the pump.
How to fix a Whirlpool Duet & Duet sport error code F02. Repairing your F02 error code can usually be done without ordering parts. Tools needed to repair your Duet F02 error code are towels and a quarter inch socket.
Tip the washer back at a 45 degree angle. On the bottom panel there are three or four screws, with the screws removed the panel will slide down and off. With the lower access panel now removed you will have access to the washers drain pump clean out.
With the water already bailed from the washer you can twist the filter head counter-clockwise to remove. Twisting the filter head counter-clockwise will loosen filter so it can be pulled out. With the filter out, clean and install back into washer.
Run a quick cycle to ensure the washer is back up and running and the F02 error has disappeared. If the error comes back it may require you to clean the drain pump filter again.
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
F02 is a drain error in your washer, if
the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display suds and then
F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the
drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front
panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter.
If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then
replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any
other questions.

You you probably need a pump, but try this first. Remove the pump filter again and put you finger into the hole going to the pump and see if there is anything in it and see if you can turn the pump impeller. If this checks ok, Put filter back in and put washer into drain/spin. It should spin since you have drained the tub. If so replace the pump.
If it still doesn't spin remove the top of the washer and find the pressure switch. It will have a rubber hose going from it down to the bottom rear of the tub. Remove the hose from the switch and make sure you can blow through it. Hook hose back to switch and try drain/spin again. If washer does not spin now, you will need to do some trouble shooting with a volt/ohm meter or have a tech come out.
Post back to let me know what you find out.
