Hello,
If you are using XP operating system then you need to install UAA drivers and restart the notebook and then you need to install Audio drivers.
Here is the weblink to install UAA drivers
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33501-34000/sp33867.exe
Here is the weblink to install Audio drivers.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36001-36500/sp36090.exe
If you are using Vista in your notebook then perform the following steps.
Click start and in the start search box type services and press enter
Then double click on the Windows Audio from the list of services and stop the service and click on ok.
Then double click on the Windows Audio from the list of services and start the service and click on ok.
Then double click on the Windows Audio from the list of services and select Recovery tab.
In the Recovery tab set the first failure as restart the service and do the same for second failure and subsequent failure.
Then click Apply and Ok.
This should resolve the issue . However, if the issue persists please install Audio drivers ( this is for Vista operating system).
Thanks
Regards
