I have a side by side Frigidaire. Power was out for 6 hours. Came back on and started fine. That night I noticed Ice maker was leaking. I watched it and noticed the cycle to make ice went four times in a row. The first time it dumped the ice and filled the water. But the motor didn't stop. It tryed again to dumped the ice again but water was just put in so nothing was dumped. Then it started to fill with more water which just leaked out. And two more times before the motor stopped. It waits its normal amount of time for the ice to harden and then repeats the four whole cycles again. What could the problem be? Thanks.

the leaking water is the problem. it needs to be fixed, but till then defrost again, use a fan it speeds the process, SHUT OF WTER to ice maker. restart fridge it will work normally. now find parts needed to fix the ice maker water feed.
the leaking water overwhelms the defroster. and causes a coil freeze up, this impedes cooling and air circulation over the evaporator coils
it sounds like the compressor, or something near it. it is generally the only moving part in a refrigerator other than the door, so would be my first guess. If it is constantly running, but staying cool in the freezer there may be a small leak somewhere or the compressor is losing power, and pumping slower.
Ice makers are a common problem. On many brands there is a reset button behind the plastic cover. However if you physically see Ice clogging your water inlet to the ice maker, this will without a doubt prevent the ice maker from making ice. Use hot water or a steamer to unclog the ice or you can leave the unit unplugged for a few hours to defrost the freezer. You should be able to hear when the ice maker cycles and lets in water. Note: if you're getting plenty of water out of your in door water dispenser, then it's NOT a water supply problem. You may need to check the solenoid that controls water entering the ice maker.
You may have a defective water inlet solenoid valve. replace water inlet solenoid valve for ice maker. Contact Frigidaire Dealer for part by Model and serial number. Replacing the part is reverse of removing old valve located behind refrigerator on right side facing the back. You may have to remove bottom back cover to access. Make sure you reinstall the cover for proper operation.
