We have a craftsman garage door opener Model: 139.53876, FCC ID: HBW1162 the battery died in the remote and we changed them, not sure if this changed the code but it won't open, my father in law changed the battery in the keypad as well. Now we can't get the car out.

Changing the battery should not reset the code. Check that the battery is inserted the right way round. If the battery 'died' the metal terminal contacts inside the remote/ keypad may also be dirty. You could try gently scratching the surface of the contacts with a small screwdriver to restore brightness if they are discoloured.

CRAFTSMAN GARAGE DOOR OPENER FCC ID: HBW1127 WILL NOT OPEN FROM REMOTE JUST FROM WALL SWITCH.

If it won't reprogram it's your receiver in the the circuit board. The wall switch will still work because it's wired to the opener.

Sears Canada 139.53681B FCC ID hbw1255 I DONT HAVE MANUAL & NEED TO RESET REMOTE TO OPEN DOOR FOR GARAGE. CAN ANYONE HELP? V

You don't normally ever need to reset the remote but.....................

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and hold the button on your remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. If this doesn't work either your remote or the receiver has quit working. Make sure the battery in the remote is good.,

I have a garage opener where the remote is not working. I have changed the battery, but it is still not functioning. Craftsman FCC ID HBW1136

Make sure the light in the wall control is not blinking. If it is press and hold for 3 seconds the button with the lock icon. If this isn't the case your remote may have failed.
