Depends on the warranty and how it broke. The one year warranty written on the box is from the manufacturer. You may or may not need your receipt. Call/email the manufacturer and ask about the warranty. If the warranty doesn't cover accidents, hopefully the device broke under normal use, and you'll tell support that when you contact them.
If this is the case, then by all means, you should have your screen replaced. Normally, the warranty only covers system or hardware fault due to factory damage. But if you accidentally dropped that phone, the warranty doesn't cover it. Nevertheless, you can take it to your authorized service center and bring with you the receipt of purchase and ask whether they can provide you lesser cost for repair.
Warranty covers 1 year from the purchase date, but pressure cracks are usually deemed as physical damage to the phone and not covered under standard warranty.

If it has a one year warranty, I would send it back and get something different.
Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if beyond the one year factory warranty or the warranty is voided. The cost is $100.85 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.
Yes warranty will cover manufacturer defect.
Sometimes even if it is out of warranty it is worth it to call the company because of a possible design flaw.
Cracked screens are never covered by a limited warranty. A limited warranty from a manuf. covers defects in product or workmanship at the factory. Screens can run 600-1200 bucks.
If you purchased the TV 6 months ago, still under manufacturers warranty. They normally give customers 1 year warranty coverage.
It looks like the main board will have to be replace on this TV or fix to the component level.
