My ice maker will not fill with water. I can't tell if the line is clogged. It is leaking from the top
Tube going inside the freezer. Don't know if there is a clog or it just needs a need clamp
On the tube.

Had Numerous similar problems for about a year, No ice in either the top or the bottom trays and the bottom leaked into the bottom of the freeze.
First thing I did was install a pump onto the water line supplying water to the ice maker inlet, thinking the water pressure was low. The pump hasn't run since I installed it six months ago so the water pressure is fine. Second I replaced the solenoid assembly thinking I had a bad unit. Still same issues.
Finally as a last resort I decided to bypass the water filter. Now both the top and the bottom ice makes more ice than I know what to do with.
It's easy to do my just using the hose couplers that are mounted on the water lines.
Second thing I did was install a 1" piece of 3/4 clear hose (available from any big box hardware store), cut the bottom end at a 40 degree angle an slid it over the fill tube going into the ice maker tray on the bottom unit. In my case the tube was just a tad too short. Be careful forcing in onto the existing fill tube as I think you can actually push it up further into the freezer housing. I don't think it's mounted very well on the inside. The tube should just be long enough to make it past the lip of the fill tray.
Last thing I did was reset the refrigerator to factory settings. I found that if I made the freezer too cold the fill water would freeze eventually coming out of the fill tube.
Is the fill tube (on the inside of the freezer) full of ice? If so, you need a new water valve and the tube in the back should just push inside of the rubber tube on the back of the unit
It probably is not the water valve. More likely it is the ice maker itself. Nothing else in the machine controls the flow of water to the ice maker except the ice maker itself. It is recommended that both the ice maker and the water valve needs to be replaced when trouble such as this.
Please look around your refrigerator fresh food section door frame for a model number. I believe the reason water is leaking inside freezer is a defective water control valve that you attached to with water line on back of most refrigerators.
You mean " Why The Water Doesn't Fill the Tray in Kenmore Ice Maker?"
Am i right to your question? Well, Kenmore brand refrigerators often have an ice maker that uses the water supply to create ice inside the freezer compartment. Some models have an ice dispenser on the freezer door for easy access, and others simply create ice and deposit it into a tray inside the freezer. While most ice makers should work well with basic maintenance and care, issues may occasionally arise. One such problem is if the water does not fill the tray to create ice inside the ice maker. Resolving this issue may be possible through some troubleshooting efforts.
1 Remove the ice bin from the freezer.
2 Fill a turkey baster with hot water.
3 Spray hot water from the turkey baster into the tube at the back of the ice maker, which may be frozen or clogged.
4 Repeat spraying water into the tube until the blockage or frost is removed.
5 Replace the ice bin into the unit.
Please let me know if this help you.

Hi,
Follow the steps mentioned below to solve the problem:
First remove the ice bin and look inside the mold of the ice maker to see if it is full of ice. If the ice sensing arm is down ( on position) and the ice maker is full of ice, there is a failure inside the ice maker and the ice maker should be replaced.
If there is no ice in the ice maker, look at the fill tube on the rear of the ice maker. If the fill tube is frozen up the ice maker can't fill. You can defrost the fill tube with a hair dryer.
The water valve on the rear of the refrigerator supplies water to the water dispenser and the ice maker. Since the water dispenser is working, the only line that could be blocked runs up the back of the cabinet and attaches to the fill tube for the ice maker. The water valve could be bad and not sending water to the ice maker.
If the fill tube freezes again you should replace the water valve.
Hope this helps.

Good day, Sounds as if the fill tube to the ice maker is either plugged with ice, broken, or adjusted improperly. Remove the ice maker, then the fill tube needs to be inspected closely for the issues above. As well, the fill valve in the bottom rear of the machine might not be shutting off completely after filling the ice maker well. If that is the case, the valve is non serviceable and must be replaced.
Is the freezer cold enough? Should be close to 10 degrees.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then
try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell
you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
Once the ice mold has water in it, it may start cycling when it freezes.
If the fill tube is blocked with ice, the water inlet valve is leaking and needs to be replaced.
