You can use third party software to reset your password. There is a program called ATAPWD 1.2. You can find it on Hiren's Boot CD. After you download Hiren's, burn it on a disc and boot from the CD on start up. From menu, select Password Tools and then select Atapwd. After it starts up select the locked harddrive and press enter for the menu. Choose "unlock with user password", then "disable with user password". The password is empty, so just press enter at the prompt. If this didn't work: Choose "unlock with master password", then "disable with master password". The password is all spaces.
for wd 60gb hdd, i've got a problem...when i pressed the command "disable with user password" there is a message for me that "command rejected by drive" what can i do now???
