Our wheel is bulging on our Phil and Teds sport model. It has done that since we bought it, it is only 1 year old. Does it need a whole new wheel?

hi does it seem to be the tyre or the inner platic rim, also which country are you in?

Phil n ted tubes sadly are not covered by warranty my pram had all 4 tires do it including the new ones they said there was a batched of shonky tubes and sent me new ones as i kicked up a stink as it was only a few months old, but it did it again when we had a heat wave :( why not try buying a new tube and tire from a bike store the ones phil n ted supply are dodgy! and deflating it and puting the tire back on the rim wont work cos they tube seems to just buldge again when walking and pope the tire off and come off the rim. hope this helps its a well knowen problem that phil n ted couldnt be bothered fixing.

bought new tyres but they would bulge again so found a simple diy solution: get some rubber (broad rubber washers from the plumbing section), cut a piece to the size that it covers the very centre of the area where the tyre bulges - position the tyre properly on the wheel again and gently pump it up - just make sure it is well pumped up as we are used to do with ordinary bicycle tyres.

Where do you get replacement wheels for the sport?

There's a list of parts here:
http://shop.philandteds.com/parts/sport-v1
If that's not your model, you might find it on this page:

Good luck, and I hope this helps!

Wheel bearings on E3 phil and Teds stroller

We had a similar problem. You can get replacement axles from the Phil & Ted website http://store.philandteds.com/parts/index.cat for US$8.99 plus postage and you can get new bearings (FR8-ZZ Flanged Bearings 1/2" x 1 1/8") from www.usabearingsandbelts.com for US$7 per pair including postage. (you'll need a pair for each wheel). If you buy the whole wheel option (US$39)from Phil & Ted it doesn't come with the axle and the axle definitely does not come with bearings. ;( Trust this helps.

Phil and teds sport stroller

hi we had the same problem with our p&t sports buggy, brand new out of the box the front wheel kept locking, driving me mad! we contacted our supplier, kiddicare.com, who were extremely helpful and sent out a "front wheel swivel/fixed catch (screw fixing)" - it has WORKED WONDERS! the buggy is now smooth and easy to handle. you have to remove the old catch pin which can be a bit of a fiddle (when we got the old pin out it was a rivet fixing and very rusty) but only took us 10 minutes. highly recommended if you can get hold of one of these new screw fix pins, which have obviously been brought out to fix a common fault which p&t can't be bothered to recall lots of buggies and fix themselves...... ;)
