What can cause copier to show erro code u2-40

Try MFG website.

u have to replace the fixing film of the fuser unit as this error is caused by that. so u have to get it replaced by a tech .

L1 indicates the laser mirror motor is bad. The laser would have to be replaced to fix properly.

the fixing assembly need to be rebulit or the fixing gears need to be replaced. the main fuser motor is locking up which tells them the fixing rollers have flat spots on them and have finally caused it to stop rotating

Fuser error.
Fix problem (Fuse, lamp, or thermistor), then reset code by entering service mode and powering off/on machine
